Rondo is not a very good player? Anyway, there are plenty of pgs on good teams that don't put up Rondo-like numbers. Bottom line, you're right about one thing, Pierce will be the #1 option in destroying you guys. Although I could actually see KG winning finals MVP this time around. Rondo is going to put up some amazing numbers if these teams meet in the finals, the reason behind them really doesn't matter.
Lol calling Rondo not a good player is ridiculous. He is far better than any of our PGs. He is putting up 10/7/5. That is pretty fuckin' good. I'd deal Farmar for him in a heart beat. I'd deal Fish and Farmar for him if I had to. Rondo is an up and coming PG in this league. Calling him not a good PG is stupid.
I dont consider him at the top tier at all. Each to his own I guess.... He definitely is better than our PG's but that doesn't say very much. haha.... I would have taken Fisher in his prime over Rondo. Seriously though, when i think of PG's I think Iverson, Wade, DWill, J. Calderon, CP3, Baron Davis, Nash, Kidd, Roy, Harris, Terry, Parker, Barabosa?? MARBURY??? lol.... Plenty PGs.... All better players than RONDO IMO.. I'd take any of these guys ahead of RONDO... I would too... But saying Rondo would straight up DESTROY us is hilarious. How badly did Tony Parker DESTROY us last year in the playoffs? What about Deron Williams? Or Allen Iverson? Certainly they we didn't shut them down, but judging by these posts, you'd think these point guards would've been going off on us left and right, which they certainly didn't. Don't believe me? Check the boxscores. They certainly weren't playing above their averages, and Fisher (mostly) did a decent job some games holding them down to a low shooting percentage. Rondo didn't even hit double figures in scoring except for the last game, which really doesn't even count since it was over in the first five minutes. Personally I'm not AS worried about Fisher. He steps up in big games, and stepped up defensively in the postseason. If the rest of the roster can get in synch, and if Bynum can start focusing and being the defensive presence he is capable of being, we'll be all right. It's Farmar who I'm really worried about. He needs to get his head in the game, because right now, he's not cutting it.
Whatever, does all this really matter? Historically have pgs killed the Lakers? Yes. Does it really matter if Rondo will destroy the Lakers or not? No, because there are plenty of other players on the Celtics who will make sure that you guys do not win a ring once again.
