Another 3 for Peja making it 10 of them for the night. Nice for whoever has him in their fantasy team.

Kobe should have had more touchs in the 4th. I dont know how many he has but its not enough. Alot of stuff I havent liked about this game so far but for the most part its been the defense, and not enough Kobe.

Peja and Paul killed us through 3 quarters... but it was a pretty close game... until West and Butler hit 'wtf' 3's all of a sudden.. thats where we lost

Peja always kills us and I was going crazy watching the Lakers leave him open over and over again last night. One gripe I do have about the game last night was the way the officials allowed Tyson Chandler to set 50 moving screens. He would set a high pick for Chris Paul on Fisher, and then continue to follow Fisher acting like a lead blocker for Chris Paul. Once you set a pick you're not allowed to move and continue to bump the defensive player. He wasn't whistled for it one time last night.

The Lakers actually played fairly well last night despite the loss. The Hornets were on fire from the perimeter and when you're facing a team shooting over 50% from behind the arc it's going to be tough to beat them. Chris Paul was amazing last night for the Hornets scoring and passing the basketball. His ability to find the open man and get him the ball despite 3 Lakers surrounding him was crazy. There was one play were he drove to the him, jumped like he was going to shoot a layup and then whipped a bounce pass to Rasual Butler for a wide open 3 point shot instead. I have no idea how he saw Butler trailing on the play.

The Lakers didn't do a good job of attacking the rim last night and getting fouls on the Hornets. Tyson Chandler was in early foul trouble, but the Lakers stopped going to the rim and forcing him to get his 3rd. The Lakers only shot 9 free throws last night versus taking 24 three pointers. Granted a lot of those 3 pointers came at the end of the game as they tried to shoot themselves back in it, but the team was settling all night for jumpers instead of using there size advantage inside. They missed Kwame tonight and his ability to clear defenders out of the key by setting picks and banging people on the inside.

There was a sequence where Luke was abusing Peja in the post, but the team went away from it and didn't maximize those opportunites. The Lakers played Hornets basketball the entire night instead of dictating the tempo and forcing the Hornets to execute their halfcourt offense.

Looking ahead I'm excited to see Odom back and hope he can fit in right away. I love the energy of our second unit with Farmar-Radman-Bynum off the bench. Those guys have some great chemistry on the court.

I can't help but think the team might have gotten off to a better start if Mihm wasn't in the starting lineup in place of an injured Kwame Brown.

Kwame and Mo were inactive, which made our team suffer a bit.
