24/11/5 now for Gasol. Another huge game for him.

Maggette with the foul. The Warriors are letting this game slip away.

Foul looked like a clear path foul to me.

Don't see why Maggette is arguing that. I think it was pretty apparent that it was clear path...but that could be my Laker bias stepping in too.

Odom with 20 in the game now.

Kobe with the tough fadeaway to extend the lead to 122-112. Should be the dagger.

Apparently the Lakers are on a 17-3 run...well...prior to that Maggette layup I assume, which cuts the lead to 122-114.

Kobe to the line for a pair.

I don't know how the hell we pulled this off, the Warriors dominated this game.

Kobe was a warrior tonight and Ariza totally crushed their spirits in the fourth.

We really had not right winning this game. The Warriors controlled the game for about what, 44 minutes? They just completely collapsed in those last few minutes though, and those back to back treys by Trevor absolutely deflated them.

I can't believe we won. I watched a total of 3 minutes of the game, or less.

    HW FTL

Glad to see us pulling it out, close or not. Warriors seemed like they couldn't miss (followed the box score).

Josh Powell also had a fantastic game. I know it was only against the Warriors, but still, Lamar and Pau didn't exactly "dominate." Hopefully this'll give Phil more confidence in his game so we'll see him more on the court. I love that guy.

I got exactly the same impression Moo, we were quite fortunate to regain control like that when they were so hot on pure jump shooting alone.

The Warriors were on fucking fire in the first half. They were hitting everything. They did cool off considerably though come the 4th quarter, and their defense was atrocious, giving up 39 points.

Yea, I haven't seen a team be that hot with a jumper in a while. Thankfully though, they did cool off over the course of those last few minutes.

Thank god Crawford cooled down too. He was hot at the beginning of the game, and for whatever reason, they didn't really look to him after the first quarter. In the 1st quarter, he was 3/3 with 14 points. Through the last 3 quarters, he was 3/6 with 9 points. Call me crazy, but when you have a player shooting that well, you should be giving him the ball a few more times.

I'm also glad they didn't exploit Derek Fisher tonight. He doesn't have the quickness to keep up with Monta Ellis, yet they didn't really exploit that, and Monta spent most of his night settling for jump shots.

I thought we would feed Pau more tonight as well, the Warriors are decimated with injuries along with being undersized. Pau had his way offensively with them, that hook shot was almost unstoppable.

Yup...that was my main point in my first post of this thread too. The Lakers needed to exploit their size advantage. For the most part, they did a solid job. Gasol did most of his damage in the post, as did Odom. Hell, even Puke managed to get some points down in the paint. I'm just glad that the Lakers didn't completely buy in to the Warriors style tonight and prevented from getting in to a jump shooting contest, because I don't know if they win if that's the case.

Looking at the shot chart on ESPN, the Lakers only hit 14 shots from 15 feet out. Basically all their damage was down in the high and low post tonight.

I had a feeling we were going to win all game. They couldn't out rebound us. That was some really effective defense on Kobe, though. Great game. Ariza's 3's were huge.

Fucking Luke sucks. It's so embarrassing to watch him try and take his man off the dribble.

Farmar and Sasha were off tonight.

    Powell was fucking awesome tonight.

Luke was pretty ineffective offensively tonight, but he did get 6 assists and only turned it over once, which I can deal with any day of the week.

Powell was a beast tonight. 16/7, going 5/6 from the floor and 6/6 from the line.

Those threes by Ariza closed the game out for the Warriors and completely deflated them.

Ariza's stroke is so much better this year. His jumper is still ugly, but it is more productive.
