What a disgusting game. Absolutely nothing to say. That was a gimme for the Lakers, and they couldn't take it. I'm not feeling warm and fuzzy about this road trip.
The Lakers have been struggling with back to back games all season long. They've also been terrible in the 3rd quarter for the last 10 games or so. PJax needs to start figuring out ways to motivate the players so they don't come out flat. The Lakers were getting good looks, but they just weren't hitting their shots. The defense was terrible and everything I mentioned in the keys to the game, they didn't do. They double teamed the wrong people, they didn't secure the rebounds, and they left the Indiana shooters wide open. Lamar Odom is absolute garbage in the Triangle offense and on the defensive end. He was outrebounded by Peja and gave up 26 points to him. Lamar Odom didn't even get to the free throw line one time last night. He kept camping out on the perimeter in the offense, instead of posting up Peja and dominating him with his size. Everything took a turn for the worse when Mihm picked up his 3rd foul. The Lakers were down by three when he went to the bench. Kobe didn't play smart either, his jumper wasn't falling so he should have tried attacking the rim to get his rhythm going. I thought the game against Portland was the worst game so far, but last night the Lakers hit a new low. They have to win these next 4 games on the road trip.
