And Odom with the trey! Talk about a change of pace for this game. Lakers are absolutely dominating right now. They're getting after them this quarter and causing turnovers all over the place. Lakers have pounded the ball inside this quarter and have controlled the tempo all quarter for the most part. It's 79-73, Lakers on a 9-0 run right now.
Bynum is looking good. I'm impressed. Hopefully he can continue to do it against teams that aren't so soft defensively in the interior.
Another TO by the Suns via an offensive foul. Lakers ball again. Odom gets robbed of a layup, but Bynum with a nice lay up for the put back. Smush with a TO, probably could have pushed the lead back to double figures if he hadn't messed up. I'm loving Bynum so far tonight. He's played tremendous for us in the abscence of both Kwame and Mihm. In the quarter alone, he's got 6 points so far. Four off of putbacks off missed shots, one of his own and just now on one by Odom.
Farmar with back to back nice layups for his first career baskets. Odom with another layup and now gets a well deserved rest.
Talk about a dominant quarter. Lakers smoked the Suns that quarter, coming from down 5 to up 8. Evans, Bynum, and Odom have all looked great tonight. Odom and Bynum are each on their way to double doubles and Evans has been a beast off the bench tonight in the abscence of Kobe. I'm hoping he can keep this up all season and give us a legit 6th man scoring threat. I'm loving the aggressiveness at going to the hoop tonight thought. We're not settling for a lot of jumpers tonight (only 8 trey attempts), and we're dominating the paint, outscoring the Suns 54-28 in that category. Odom has looked great, he's really looking for his shot tonight, and I hope he keeps this up when Kobe comes back. Bynum has looked better than I expected. 16/9 through 3 quarters. 4th quarter about to start.
Nice start for the quarter, Farmar gets himself another layup, 3rd of the game. D'Antoni can't be happy right now. Nice layup by Marcus Banks, slicing right through the defense. Radmanovic with the basket, finally getting something from him. Another steal for the Lakers, looking very impressive on defense since that rough first quarter.
And yet another Phoenix turnover, as Banks gets nailed with the offensive foul. 17 TOs now for Phoenix, and at least 4 by offensive fouls Odom with the layup and the finishes the three point play. Lakers are really dominating every facet of this game right now. Killing them in PIP and we're outrebounding them by 15. Radman with another shot, hopefully he can find that stroke.
Kurt Thomas gets the putback for Phoenix after Cook hit a jumper on the other end. And Odom continues to look spectacular, as he drops in another three ball. 29/10/6 so far...triple double maybe? Lakers now up 101-85, talk about a HUGE turn around.
Barbosa with the trey, lead down to 13. Farmar back in for Sasha. Odom called for a travel, first TO in a while for the Lakers. Smush draws the foul Barbosa, on his way to the line for a pair.
Smush splits a pair at the line, Barbosa comes back down and hits another trey. 22 for him tonight. Smush has quietly put together a nice game tonight. 6pts, 7assts, and 6rbnds for him tonight. He hasn't tried to force the issue on offense, only 2 official attempts from the floor. He's also done a nice job disrupting Nash and co. on the other end from what I've seen so far.
Bad TO by the Lakers. Farmar forgot the shotclock and got a violation. Nash forces the issue and misses a tough fadeaway. Lakers get a TO and Marion with a nice layup. Another TO, this time Marion blows the layup. Lakers get the board and Thomas picks up a foul. Bynum and Walton come in for Cook and Farmar.
Smush with the trey, nice find by Bynum. Phoenix misses on the other end and then turns it over after Walton misses a layup. And Evans with the basket. Lakers are dominating. Walton blows the nice behind the back pass from Odom.
Evans finally misses. On a sidenote, anyone realize how many assists we have? 29, that's a pretty insane amount for us. Barbosa has another trey to add to his statsheet. And Odom AGAIN from downtown!!!! 32 now for Odom.
Barbosa hit's yet another trey, my god that man is hot right now. Lead at 7. And Bynum with nice fadeaway. 17/11/5 so far tonight, what a game for him. And Diaw steps out of bound, another TO for the Suns.
