Kobe's attitude, instincts, and assassin mentality have rubbed off on Gasol.

Good game. It could have gone either way, but I think the Lakers are riding an emotional high right now after the loss of Bynum and Kobe's epic game in NYC. Good teams play better in adverse conditions, and the loss of Drew is still fresh in their minds. I was pretty pissed that KG fouled out on 3 ticky tack fouls in a 2 minute span, but I don't think it cost them the game. The Celtics had plenty of chances, but failed. Surprisingly, the Lakers defense really stepped up in crunch time and left the C's with no chance to win the game in the 2 final plays.

That being said, I think you guys are definitely overreacting to the outcome a little. I can totally see why you could be more confident in your team against mine in a series, though. I saw a different Lakers team last night than I did in the Finals last year, so it should be interesting if we do end up against each other in the Finals again. I'm still pretty confident that the Celtics will win, but it will be a lot tougher for us if you guys can play with the same mentality that you did last night.

We definitely didn't back down from you guys physically. We nutted up when things got physical. Last year, we fucking ran like pussies from the physicality. It was probably one of the best games I've seen in a very long time.

Did you think Allen got fouled on that last attempt?

Thrilla do you still think the Celtics won't miss Posey and PJ Brown in the post season? I thought the Laker win exposed the Celtics lack of depth coming off the bench. Gasol shot over the top of Powe and Big Baby, last year the Celtics could throw PJ in there to bother his shot more. Not having Posey available takes away from the Celtics defensive schemes and they don't stretch the court as well anymore.

The Lakers did a great job of playing in the painted area and I can only imagine how Bynum would have impacted this game if he were healthy. He wasn't playing at the high level he did during the XMas game.

If the Lakers could have made their free throws like they normally do this game wouldn't have gone to OT.

Great game though and I'm glad the Lakers showed some balls and didn't back down from the Celtics when they tried getting physical. I thought the last foul on KG was a bullshit call and I wished was still in the game to be apart of losing in the end.

Like 70% of Gasol's points were balls that got deflected to him after a blocked shot or a weak side rebound. If you take out all the accidental offense he had, he was pretty ineffective. He was almost invisible to me as I watched the game.

And again, Posey was not responsible for any of the great defense the Celtics played in the playoffs last year. I keep challenging people to go back and watch the games because it was Pierce who was shutting Kobe and LeBron down, and both of those guys did most of their damage when Posey was on them. And PJ Brown made a few good plays last year but for the most part he was just a body to throw out there that wouldn't screw anything up too badly. We have three guys that can do that.

We had more chances to put the game away than you guys did, plus the clock was in our favor at the end of the 4th and it OT. Don't try to make it look like you outplayed us. It was a back and forth game that either team could have won. Basically a tie. Not bad considering 75% of our team had the flu and even you admit that our best player was fouled out on a dumb call with a ton of time remaining.

I'm not worried, and if anything, it's better off this way because you guys will cry harder and for longer when you lose to us again in the Finals.

Random comment. Anyone see the amount of damage Big Baby's shoe souls take when he runs? He flattens the shit out of them.

We totally outplayed the Celtics. No Drew, back to back road games, FT blowage, Kobe not having his best game, Odom started dead cold.

Man, you guys must suck because even when you "totally" outplay a team, they still take you to overtime.
