anybody catch that? tinesly pushed caledron as they called the timeout and caledron threw the ball at him, when mitchell asked what happend, caledron says " he pushed me and i pushed back". i love this guy!!! btw, is that a hickey on rasho's neck?
<div class="quote_poster">SkiptoMyLue11 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Raps get a win. I didn't see Calderon push Tinsley I just saw him toss the ball at him.</div> yeah caledron never pushed back, he just threw the ball at him. caledron's english is still a work in progress at this stage.
Jose definitely won that game for us. Him, Garbajosa, and Bargnani were the best players on the floor for the most part. I wanted to kick the crap out of Chuck when he said "This game is over!" with 2 mins. left. I know the odds were that we would win, but that's some serious jinxing going on right there. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">btw, is that a hickey on rasho's neck?</div> Thank you. i almost forgot but did anyone notice colangelo and peddie going into the raptor locker room after the game? seemed peculiar to me, a firing maybe?
<div class="quote_poster">deception Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">i almost forgot but did anyone notice colangelo and peddie going into the raptor locker room after the game? seemed peculiar to me, a firing maybe?</div> They were in the tunnel for the most part, so maybe they were just going back in and congratulating the players on the win ...don't really see the logic in firing someone after a win. I loved the way Bargs played today. He showed off a bit of his arsenal and made some nice passes. Anybody noticed how the Raps didn't play well after Sam took out Bargs and two others (Garbajosa? and Rasho?) in the 2nd quarter? Totally ruined the chemistry the unit had going.

I thought that was Colangelo and Gerardhini. I haven't seen Peddie since BC was hired. One more game like this by Garbajosa and I'm switching our slogan to the pornstar. Does anybody object?

<div class="quote_poster">deception Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">the thing about caledron is that he's mentally tougher than anybody on the court, he's a constant. we spent a lot of time as fans bashing babcock, but he's stockpiled lots of talent for us (caledron, charlie v and joey g)</div> One other thing is babcock did a lot of the work to fix our salary cap situation. I know it was Embry who swung the jalen rose deal... but that deal was rumored all year and im sure Babcock would have made it if he wasn't fired. I also respect how he did no go out and overpay a mediocre freeagent or trade for a guy with a bad contract cause babcock was certainly under a lot of extreme criticism and and scrutiny and I liked how he stuck to his guns. Speaking of the cap that is my one concern with Colangelo - - he seemed determined for us to be at the cap and I just think adding a guy like Rasho (8million) while trading away 2 expiring contracts(ewill and bonner) or signing Fred Jones immediately after Salmons backed out demonstrates that Salaries & Cap play less of a role (in Colangelo's mind) interms of deciding whether or nor to persue a player. Nevertheless we certainly have more depth than we have ever had in recent history; a product of Colangelo's spending. But to reiterate in some cases the spending seems frivolous, especially when you consider some of the FA's on the market & the fact that almost everyteam is over the cap we could of made a serious play at some of the 2007 Type A freeagents like a Chauncey Billups, Mike Bibby (who i hate and sucks) or some middle tier guys Jamaal Magloire, or Primoz Brezec (who could both do what rasho is doing and for a lot cheaper and likely better) or role player like Andres Nocioni (who could complete the euro starting 5). I really think we are going to see a nuclear winter (not enough cash to go around) on the FreeAgent market nextyear and those who have cap space will be able to make some noise if they want to. I think we saw the emergence of that this year: Bonzi Wells's contract or a guy like Deshawn Stevenson opting out of his contract to test the FA market only to sign for less money than he would have made had he picked up his player option. However there is a definite sense of immediacy to some of the moves colangelo has made to make us more compettitive i just hope the goals for short term success does not undermine longterm goal of building a roster who can play for NBA Championship.

Whether or not he is back now i have no idea.

Man, everyones getting minutes with Mo Pete out. I really think he is expendable with our depth. Hopefully Colangelo has something in mind.

We really can't depend on Joey being consistent right now and even when he is playing well, we still need a decent shooter. We've all seen what Jones is like with no signs of him slowing down his current pace. Parker has been inconsistent and can't be relied on right now. MoPete is still our best shooter. I don't think he will be back next year, so hopefully BC can make a deal where we will get a decent shooter in return.
If we don't force Graham into iso's, then he's a pretty effective player. Not the defender I thought he would be, but decent nonetheless.
