Pretty good game today, it was nice to see someone other than bosh carry us to a win, because it's clear he's not 100%. Calderon again steps up and proves he has more composure than TJ Ford running the point. I don't know about you guys but i think we should try and sign this guy if he's in our price range after this year, the players just seem to be much more active with Calderon on the floor. Also, agree completely with the assessment that Euro-raps > regular raptors today. It is almost like we have two different styles within our team. When we have all the Europeans on the floor there is a lot more passing and moving without the ball. When we have Bosh etc on the court we are overly reliant on him and no one moves without the ball. I think there still are integration problems ... there are different styles of play at work. Watching Calderon pass back to Garbajosa on the break was definitely the highlight of this game for me. I think I may have to revoke my Joey Graham hater membership pretty soon. The way he played today was exactly what I thought we were getting when we drafted him last year. If Joey plays more consistent Mopete is as good as gone end of this year. "that's the way Joey Graham plays basketball" – Joey Graham

Joey Graham</div> yeah forgot about that behind the back pass on the break, courtesy of the spanish guys. the euro' shun defense like its an infectious disease but their offensive execution is renaissance in the modern isolation game. and joey g is the franchise, well him and slokar. btw- since slokar was activated, the raps are 2-1 and of course that lost was under dubious circumstances.

The ISO game we play with Bosh, Ford, etc... will never bring us success. I get fustrated watching our players stay out on the wings and just jack up jump shots. With a new coach we'd be right on track to get things moving, not necessarily making us a huge success, but we could get closer to the playoffs than we are now. Today when we had Rasho, Bargnani, Graham, Calderon on the floor i thought Sam Mitchell had lost his mind, but the combo worked really well. It was nice to see everyone pass the ball around. Bargs (although he hardly ever does pass) seems to have pretty good court vision for a big guy. I think Joey Graham was key to making that whole system work because he was just the scrappy kind of guy we needed to get rebounds. I agree the defense still needs work, but i like seeing guys like Calderon and Garbajosa use their brains and play team D. I think a major part of our defensive problems is our **cough** coaching staff.

Looking at the situation in the East, seems to me the raps aren't sitting in a very bad situation at the moment. New Jersey on the west coast trip right now, LOST all 4 games. Raps lost all 5. I guess thats a consolation afterall ,seems to me that most of the eastern teams have problems winning on the western swing. uhmmmm WEll i think if we manage to get 2 out of every 4 games, we shld be in good shape.
dont look now guys, but we're only 1 game out of leading the ultra strong atlantic division lol im very encouraged by garbo's play of late...he's found his shot, and he's rebounding the ball. add to that the defense he brings and hustle plays, hes a great player to have.
