Yao was great tonight... his team let him down with some bad decisions down the stretch. I also think the Rocket's weren't aggressive in driving the lane hence the FT discrepancy.
i did say yesterday yao needs to practise on his cluntch shot, esp when Tmac out; he had four chances to finish games from last wk,with 1 made as fadeaway,1 try at the 3, 2 turnaound jumper, actually it's not so bad,bt this big moment test is his bottleneck now bf upgrading into next level.

He gets good positioning in the post, can hold onto the ball some of the time, just needs to learn the art of drawing fouls and he will be freaking unstoppable.
I understand that Yao wears down late in games and he gets tired. But he has to make up for that by being smarter.
What a game!! Kwame needs to work on his FT's badly!! Two warriors battle it out. Glad my side came out on top. Kobe's 13th 50 point effort. Yao made me a believer tonight too. His game has improved leaps and bounds. Almost a triple double with points, rebounds, and blocks. Pretty amazing stuff.
Man, I wake up early (10 o clock on a Friday is early for me) to make this damn game thread, I think about this game all day as I get a 12 hour shift done. I almost got in a car accident speeding my way home in desparation to catch more seconds of this Rockets game-get here in time to witness the Rockets choke in the 4th again. Rockets in the 4th w/o T-Mac = stress related ulcers

Man, I wonder what his face would look like if he tried to "draw fouls." He gets hacked every play and there isn't a foul called. But I see what your saying, and it would be nice. Yao, the giant, is never going to be favored by the officials. It would be pointless if he drew fouls. <div class="quote_poster">Trench Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">What a game!! That is all.

Btw man i agree with u at one point, yao has to add more firearms into his arsenal ,like drawing fouls, layup and dunk. people like me always had a higher expectation on him, and it seems he could always handle this sort of pressure into real power``let's just hope yao dominate next match <div class="quote_poster">durvasa Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I understand that Yao wears down late in games and he gets tired. There is only one question on that inside-out stragety, if shooters cannot hit those wide opens, or guard's penetration failed (usually ending as being missed or blocked), yao has to adjust , cuz everyone in this league start to know his jumper at big moments as inconsistent ,each team with a big guy can push him out of the range in 4th quarter. Yao needs more time to answer for him ,for our team.
Kobe was 2 assists shy of a triple double. If Kwame had made those two baskets assisted by Kobe, he would have got it....

<div class="quote_poster">Trench Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Just remember, we are up 2-0 against you guys. I wouldn't blame Yao or his "un-clutchness" for this loss, because if his teammates didn't turn it over or play dumb for sections of this game it would never have had to get to that point where Yao needed to be clutch. Rockets should've closed the game out in the 3rd and at least in the beginning of the 4th. Now to my Laker rant. LAKER FANS LETS PARTY! ok just kidding. It's almost 1AM and I'm still posting...need to sleep so I can chill with friends tomorrow. So on that note. No matter how bad everyone played (Lakers in the 1st half Rockets in the 2nd) this was a great game to watch.

He is our 2nd leading scorer and 1st in rebounding. He spreads the defense with his versitility and is a triple threat every game. Players have to respect his inside presence as well as his outside shot. Yes, Odom may be inconsistent, but he is without a doubt the 2nd best player on our Laker squad. He is also a former all-star. How can you say he doesn't mean much to this Laker team?? I think Odom can be mentioned in the same sentence as Tracy in regards to their importance on their respective teams.
^ True at that. As of now, both have similar roles. Odom is the 2nd option and mainly does the other things for the team like rebounding and playmaking. Same thing goes for T-mac, he has been demoted to our 2nd option but is making up for it assist wise and is a consistent rebounder as well. Both players keep their respective teams' offense from being stagnant.

I would say Kwame Brown and Andrew Bynum fouled me 10 times in tonight's game, and yesterday's game also, and they did not call it. That's not fair. "I know I'm big. That's not my fault. They have two hands pushing on my back and keep pushing while I'm shooting the ball. They're not fouling upstairs, not fouling on my hands. They foul on my body. I shot only six free throws. I know that's not right. I hope the league, somebody can help with this. It's not just one or two games. It's been a couple weeks already."</div> Link I was pretty exhausted after the Wizards game, so I didn't watch much of this game, but I guess I should've watched it. Yao has been making clutch shots recently espicially in the 4th quarter and how does all of a sudden does he learn to block like Mutombo?
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Just remember, we are up 2-0 against you guys.
