<div class="quote_poster">Chutney Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">72-72 and Raps got the ball. Whew, Bosh narrowly averted a posterization from Kobe.</div> really? so what was it? a missed dunk or what?
bargnani fouls waaaaaaaay too much and as for the almost posterization, kobe went up but not so strong and i think missed the lay up but got fouled
I actually haven't noticed them calling him Freddy Brown lol, I don't always listen to their commentary. TJ Ford with another nice layup. Bosh has 4 fouls, Bargnani with 5 fouls, not good news considering it is only 3rd quarter still with 2 1/2 minutes left. Calderon hits a jumpshot. Raps up 76 to Lakers 75.
I didn't even realise we were shooting a bad 3 pt %. (what is it), I've just noticed we are actually getting layups. I liked Bynum's desperation shot which turned out to be an alley oop pass to Odom who made the shot. I have to say I think the Raps are defending the paint better this season (even though not very good, but an improvement), we are also crashing the defensive boards well tonight. Rasho with the beautiful reverse layup lol. I thought he was going to miss, good job though.
Stupid TSN! They had the game clock at 1:24 for some stupid reason and I thought we were about to close the game out without Bosh. I'm seeing signs of imploding.
<div class="quote_poster">Chutney Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I'm seeing signs of imploding.</div> I think at this point in the season the Raps could implode at any point, we are a new team, but so far so good. Rasho made another nice reverse layup a min ago!! Nice dish from Garbajosa. Lakers up 93 Raps 90 <div class="quote_poster">kobe23 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">really? so what was it? a missed dunk or what?</div> Kobe went up for a dunk like 7 or 8 feet away from the basket with Bosh standing there with his hands up and Kobe about 2 feet away from the basket just tried to push it towards the basket, because he couldn't quite dunk it. Bosh got called for the foul.

Yea Fred Jones isn't as good a 3 pt shooter as Mo Pete. Mo Pete just hit a 3. TJ Ford manages to keep the ball after almost turning it over to Smush. TJ with THE STEAL from Odom!!! Nice couple plays by TJ. Bosh with the 3!!!! lol
Bosh just hit a 3, so its Lakers 97 Raps 96 with 2:46 left in the 4th Q. Kobe with a nice spin move penetration makes the basket. Lakers 101 Raps 98. 1:40 left Mo Pete dives into the Laker crowd, but doesn't save the ball. Kwame makes 1 of 2 free throws. 1:20 left. 102 -98. Lakers get like 3 consecutive offensive boards, Raps foul Kwame as he gets another offensive board. Kwame makes 1 of 2 FTs. Raps ball, Lakers up 103 to 98. 23.8 seconds left. Garbajosa with the jumpshot. 103 to 100 with 18.6 seconds left. Fred Jones fouled out. Rasho comes in. <div class="quote_poster">Chutney Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Peterson pulled a Ron Artest! Nah seriously though, that was scary. I thought he landed awkwardly.</div> Yea seriously, his feet were above his body, and his he landed hip first (which can hurt). Good hustle play too bad he didn't get to save the ball.
3 Turnovers and 2 Offensive boards given up in the final 1:30 = Raptor Loss. This hurts soooo bad. Jones and Tj once again played too much. Jose was great. Peterson had the hot hand early then Mitchell sat him for almost an entire quarter....great thinking. Oden to Raptors?
Kobe makes 2 FT, LA 105 Tor 100, 18.6 sec Bosh steps out of bounds on 3 attempt, Kobe wastes 6 seconds off clock dribbling across the halfcourt line. Kobe hits both FT. LA 107 Tor 100. 12 sec Calderon misses layup, Raps choose not to foul with 6 seconds left. Lakers win 107 Toronto 100. <div class="quote_poster">Chutney Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">That might be it. Damn.</div> Yep. I still thought Calderon, Ford, Rasho, Bosh, Mo Pete, and Garbajosa all played pretty good games. We were close pretty much the entire game, and a couple of key turnovers late in the game is what cost it for us.
TJ played great man. I thought the point guard production was great the entire game. Fred Jones, I can agree with. Especially when he's shooting 3's and not driving. Jones just isn't the greatest shooter. Garbajosa was great tonight. This loss was a bit more bearable. We just got beat because of a lack of execution when it came down to it.
i don't know why fred jones was kept in the game in the closing games when it was evident he wasn't making his shots. i understand anthony parker wasn't making his shots as well but he makes winning plays, e.g. in that philly game he had a steal and two baskets in the closing minutes. also, luke walton blew by mo pete on two consecutive possessions late in that fourth quarter which resulted in offensive rebounds for the lakers, i'm guessing the result of messed up rotations because of the blow by.
^^ I agree Parker has played well in late game situations in the past, but he wasn't playing very good today. Up to the last 1:40 we had played quite well and went point for point with the Lakers.
Well, we didn't win but i thought overall it was positive. I think we learned a little bit about what can be expected from Garbajosa. He can shoot, but is much better mid-range than from behind the arc. He also had some nice cuts off the ball where he got our offense going. -I think Calderon pretty much played a flawless game on the offensive end. Every shot he took was smart (other than one 3 early in the clock) and he just always seemed to do the right thing with the ball. -Why are Fred Jones and TJ Ford taking more shots than Chris Bosh? Those guys took way too many shots tonight for my liking. Especially Jones considering he can generally shoot the 3 .. so he doesn't have to shoot the mid-range shot to keep the defense honest. -Our set plays at the end still suck, but that's ok. It's going to go a long way towords getting us a new coach.
