yep I was just thinking the same thing.. I could see how Camby and his expiring.. plus a couple other young players could be a more attractive piece than Blake and Outlaw.
There could be more to this move. I'm suspecting that the subsequent move to this trade will involve Sebastian Telfair.
I agree that it'll be for a PG. BUT, I think it'll be more of the Pritchslap-attempt variety. I'm thinking DJ Augustin. Lots of people "in the know" insisted that he's who we really wanted when we ended up w/ Bayless, he's apparently very available, and his lack of performance for LB thus far has really sunk his stock to where I don't think it would take too much to get him. This is a typical type of KP move which is why I can see it having legs. He identifies stocks he likes, waits for them to drop to their lowest point, and buys them. Some pan out, others (Von Wafer) don't. I've always liked Augustin as essentially the exact opposite of what Bayless is as a PG, and if we could get him for cheap I'd love it! Just one man's guess.
I doubt there will be one. But if there is another deal going down, I'd suspect Devin Harris would be a target.
I think it is still possible that POR could get Tyrus Thomas in the 3-team deal w\ LAL & CHI....especially if the cost is relatively cheap (Webster).... The other possibility would be a blockbuster...going after Iguodala for example...using Rudy and\or Batum as bait with Joel & webster, maybe a 1st round pick...
Really? Why? I bet there are at least two dozen NBA players making more and bringing less this year. For a 22 year-old seven footer, that's not that much, even if he IS hurt. Ed O.
