I think you're taking things a little too literal. Barfo was being funny, and I was chiming in. You don't need to make every little thing into a debate. Also, the Navy SEALs would shit all over the Airborne Rangers. They're not even remotely in the same class. The closest thing that the Army has to offer is Delta, and Delta comes from all over the Army.
Just not true. Originally it was Rangers that were supposed to get Osama. They were busy engaged with other targets. Delta Force has Rangers and Seals in it. They are roughly equivalent. Taking things literally - I guess that's why I wouldn't trust Trump as far as I could throw him. He says one thing one day and then changes his mind and says another thing the next day even while claiming he was just kidding in the first place. Unless it's spelled out, how does one really tell if someone else is kidding. I guess that's why most folds use the 'J/K' nomenclature.
Anything short, accurate and not too loud is best. Living in California, I don't really have that option, so .45 or shotgun are my only reasonable choices if I don't want a deaf family.
That's a nice thought, but both the home invasion murders that happened in my area fit none of those descriptions. I have no problem with you choosing to take your chances. Luck favors the prepared. All I ask is that you don't try and prevent law abiding citizens to choose otherwise. And not everyone has a choice of what kind of neighborhood they can afford.
