That's not what he said though. Read again: The adverbial infinitive "to perpetuate" immediately follows (and therefore describes) the adjectival verb "written". Therefore, it appears that he said the satirical article was written for that purpose, not that you posted it for that reason.
You posted something obviously fake without fact checking. In this case, "fact checking" means "scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the page where it states that the website is satire." This piece was written to perpetuate cultural divides. You read it, believed it, shared it, and are STILL talking about it as if it were true. But I can overlook all that because you wrote "Your post sir, is an idiot" which is hilarious. So no harm no foul.
