Haha. Not trying to recreate Chris and The Ponies. You would have fit in well with that project. Download my last album that I wrote, played guitar, keys, percussion, sang lead and backup vocals, and helped engineer. It's a free download. Get back to me if you think you can contribute ..hehe
That is an instrument that will probably never make its way in to any song I write. But, never say never.
I can contribute. Not to the content (although I do have a knack for rephrasing bits of lyrics so they fit rhythms better), but to the tone of the general atmosphere. Especially if there's free beer.
That's one of the only perks of being in an underrated band; free drinks anytime you play a show. I think Doug Fir is the most dangerous/generous with that. They have about 100 beers waiting in the green room for all bands. Dangerous.
Glad they got there in a decent time frame. Just remember what I said about the EP. It was our first foray into the recording world.
Not to prod you into doing an Unecessary Cover but since your voice has such a likeness to Ray Davies...... "God''s Children" is THE great lost Kink's song. Far be it from to direct you to a song with so much potential and that has brought personal enjoyment to me. I mean.... I'm not... but I am.... I'm just kidding.... or am I? (Wink Wink.... Nudge Nudge.... Say No More!)
I will look that up. Like right now. I'm kind of waiting for a hurricane to hit, so I have nothing but time.
And just so you know, the Kinks are one of my favorite bands of all time. They have two albums in my top 20: Village Green Preservation Society and Arthur. I had never put the vocal likeness together until @riverman mentioned it. And I have no problem with that.
I have a habit of writing songs a little bit higher in the register than I would prefer. But not trying to put a Sting vibe out there. Now, the drummer for the Police is one of the best that has ever hit the skins.
Now we know why @theprunetang hasn't left Florida yet. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...alligator-into-wendys/?utm_term=.e1bb33b0b790
