What? I can't believe you're serious. The only player we could possibly trade to get Harden would be Lillard and that could only happen over my dead body.
Why would we trade for a guy who is far and away a worse defender than McCollum??? at least CJ makes an effort most of the time. Harden doesn’t even try. He has to be the most overrated player in the NBA.....and that’s saying a mouthful.
Harden isn't a worse defender than CJ both guys are very rarely full effort when it comes to the defensive end and I think of both as one way players but Harden is bigger (two inches taller, over ten pounds heavier, has five inches more on his wingspan and seven inches on his standing reach), both guys are virtually equally athletic per measurables but I think Harden shows more lateral quickness in game so he is easily a better defender of shooting guards and other wings. Harden's defense is far and away more improved since that series in which Wes obliterated him and I think CJ's D has been equally terrible his whole career, I've never noticed him getting better. I do agree that Harden is overrated, I don't see how him or Curry as net negative defenders were ever MVPs there are just so many players in the league that are gifted offensively and are also at least net neutral on D but a ton are plus defenders so I don't get that at all. That being said, Harden would obviously be an absolute upgrade over CJ... that's not close. However the trade still makes no sense to me because Harden is still redundant with Dame on offense and worse than Dame on D where we need someone better than Dame. If we could somehow get James Harden for CJ and Ariza I would pull that trigger so fast and laugh so fucking hard that I'd hurt myself. Then I would promptly find out just how much we could get for Harden because I know it would be a lot more than we could get for CJ and Ariza... and Harden would be gone to the highest bidder before he ever wore or even held up a Blazer jersey. That difference in trade value would be transformative to this roster. It's all a moot point because the idea that we could get Harden for CJ, Ariza and even a bunch of picks is so incredibly unlikely. I could see the Rockets being willing to trade Harden for CJ, Nurk and possibly a pick but I value Nurk too much to do that one... I just don't think we could get the right pieces back even as highly valued as Harden is in the league to offset Nurk's huge value as a guy with a high floor and an ever increasing higher ceiling and CJ who is a known commodity. Again though the idea that someone wouldn't make the exchange of CJ for Harden is so ridiculous.
I think it's obvious we trade half our roster for Giannis, the other half of our roster for Harden. Then we have Dame, Giannis and Harden and we fill out the other 12 spots with whoever won The Basketball Tournament.
Horrible trade for Milwaukee at this point due to so many factors a couple being age and two way value. Then you considering that the Bucks still need to add a player or players to make the trade work (it's super lame to put up a trade machine image without pulling the trigger) and Milwaukee doesn't have bad contracts so they would be adding even more value to a trade that is already so bad for them.
"Super lame"? What, you can't be arsed to come up with your own trade? The point wasn't to make a workable trade it was to make a player-swap suggestion in pictoral form. Of course it wouldn't improve either team, largely because each team is built around the OTHER PLAYER. But it would certainly shut up all the people who are desperate for each player to be traded.
