Since when do dogs need swimming lessons? And isn't that Lake O? I thought it was more polluted than Guanabara Bay?
I voted no, then changed it. Now that I know we are just below the cap. So we are coming into next season one of the deepest teams in the NBA, no?
Actually, I think we're over the LT. We will get under by the end of the season, when that matters. And Mo is starting at ~$9M, I believe. So basically ~$1M over. If Mo starts at $8.035M, his contract is $35M - if it's for 4 years.
Well, geez, I'm glad we wasted all of that angst in the other thread worrying about whether Olshey would get the job done. I love our roster for next season. Should be a blast!
I'm pumped. The final piece has fallen into place. I still think there will be a trade, but this has to be the most versatile team we've had since the late 90's.
Pretty solid contract for a guy who came on late. Hopefully he stays motivated now that he got paid. But, yeah. "Trade coming soon."
So we bring the same team back except for Kaman getting replaced by Ezeli and Henderson by Evan Turner? Yeah, that good.
Because CJ and Plums are still on rookie contracts and the relatively low amount of Aminu's contract, we're going to be the only team in the league where our bench players make more than our starters. Strange times.
Hopefully this doesn't cause problems in the locker room. I know it appears we have really good team chemistry, but when it comes to money, things can change quickly.
Meyers and Moe at $10M/year is like Aminu/Davis last year at around $7M/year with the change in the cap. It gives them a deep team, familiarity and the ability to make a consolidation trade for a front court impact player to balance out the back court.
