http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-k...ov=ap&type=lgns Knicks forward Othella Harrington sprained a ligament in his right knee and is out 4 to 8 weeks. Othella is a good backup and one of my favorite Knicks, hopefully he comes back in 4 weeks not 8.
well.. i hope he stays on the bench for more than 6 weeks. this is a great oportunity for lampe and sweetney to get playtime
i don't think that harrington woulda played before sweetney and lampe, but i think that they both will play good and leave harrington deep on the bench.
Thela I think Harrington would have played before the two rookies. You can't expect them to come in that quickly and play a major role, particularly Lampe since he's just 18. Now, Sweetney is going to have to play minutes off the bench, or more if Dyess can't play. Unless he's Adrian Dantley, the Knicks are lottery bound.
I think everyone is expecting a little too much from Sweetney and especially Lampe. Sweetny isn't going to be the biggest strongest guy on the court anymore he'll have to mwork on ballhandling before he'll be able to get a lot of minutes and how many European players come straight to the league and play a lot and do great. It usually takes time for them to adjust, look for Lampe to be a big time player in 3 years.
