It's nice to have another shot creator that can step up when Dame's struggling, instead of putting the full responsibility on Dame.

not every time. Not when Dame is gonna get trapped.
Also. Dame is not better at driving Nd creating his own shot than cj.
Ball in Dames hands yes. To force the defense to make a decision. But then Dame needs a Cj as a go to.
see how dame is worn out at the end of seasons,

no superstar can do it every time on their own.
Lbj couldnt do it even. Kd couldnt do it.

To expect Dame to be the only guy every time is a recipe for burnout.

    lol.
    He started this thread.
He is just a half glass empty fan is all.
But it can weigh the forum down when he posts in almost every thread negative comments a out the team. Especially when they aren't very accurate takes.

I been watching Giles play since Duke and always been a pretty big fan but this was the best I seen him move in his playing days. He always play with heart but that game he move more freely on both ends of the court. But it's one game let see if can come back I come back with another solid performance.

your opinion is my statement is false. Please note. I didnt say driving to the rim. I said driving.
I think he has better side to side motion that throws defenders off and is able to create more space tuan when Dame drives.
Is Dame faster? I think so. Is cj better at herky jerky movements to create space? I think so.

or we can argue about semantics...

But lets not qualify or disqualify anyone opinions as false or facts okay? Not on something like this where there is no verifiable tangle proof?

its just what my eye sees is cj is better and cresting his own shot. So maybe driving wasnt the best choice of words. :)

Oh and WTF are you doing up so early??? Or did you not go to sleep yet? Lol.

    I actually agree with this.
But i would have worded it differently.
Two different styles. CJ handles the ball differently and looks for a different type of shot. CJ can work better in traffic and he seems to hit that mid range game better.
Dame of course is a huge threat from outside the arc. Lets him move and look for a open lane.
We are lucky to have both styles as it sits right now.

What ? Doesn't "driving" literally means to make a dribble penetration towards the basket ?

Sure, but you can drive around the defense, or drive through it. I would posit than Dame is better at one, and CJ the other.

I mentioned it was a poor choice of words.
Please dont focus on one word and look at the overall posts ive made?

cj’s side to side, stop and go motion, to me, is better than Dames. Dame may be quicker to the hoop but i dont think he is as good at creating space on a pull up mid range.

i think cj is a better one on one player when looking to create space in general.

lets not focus on the one poor choice word of driving. :)

great analogy. Exactly what im trying to say.

Dames better at driving through it. Evidenced by who gets more fouls.
Cj is better at going around or getting the defender off balance.

    who has the better crossover?

    cj in my opinion.

CJ is more clever with his handle than Dame. Don't think there's a lot of debate about that

of course, it's probably easier to have better handles when a player is spending most of the time simply looking for his own shot, than the handles of an eyes-up player responsible for running the offense. Dame has a lot more on his plate when he drives than CJ does. CJ spends most of his drive-time looking for open spaces on the floor to get up his shot. Dame drives-and-dishes a lot better, is a lot better as the PnR ball handler (elite), and much better at getting to the hoop, finishing, and drawing fouls
