Giles can play center or power forward and provides depth while Collins recovers. When we play teams that go big (lakers?) we can pair Giles (eventually Collins) with Nurk, so he’ll probably get some minutes early in the season. I do wonder what this means for Wenyen. I’ve always thought he was more of a three than a five, especially in Stotts system, so hopefully he’s back as well.

If I'm not mistaken we can still carry Wenyen on a two way contract as well as Hoard or the new rookie

contract length was my regret as well, would not have minded paying a little more for 2-3 yrs

I'm sure his medical report had something to do with that...they don't want another Festus Ezeli contract on the books for years...hoperfully he's past that and he's young so...there's an upside at this point but gambling on multiple years...I think it's wise to show caution here.

He will battling Kanter for playing minutes. I wanted him coming out of college. His passing rates right up there with Nurk and pretty good rebounder. He will be slotted at center with Nurk and Kanter. The kid has some big hand so what he touches he usually gets. Now olshey gave Stotts shit loaded talent now it's Stotts to figure how to use them.

Technically yeah, but he's not a third stringer when we got him.

Swanigan has a 3.7M cap-hold so he may have already been renounced
