this was a great trade for the blazers they are gettin rid of there boneheads and bringing in some good talent. hopefully SAR will get the recognition he finally deserves
It is a good trade....however Wallace probablly wont be a Hawk next season...he will be a free agent!!
I like this trade by Atlanta's end a lot. Now they have a lot of cap room, and they were so underachieving anyway that there was no point to keep those players. Even without them they can't do any worse, and now they're a big part of next season's free agency. I read that article by Stein on Atlanta wanting Kobe, and how the crowd reacts in Atlanta when Kobe comes to play this season might make a huge difference in that. I can't remember any games this season with Kobe in it that he wasn't booed in, and if Atlanta welcomes him that will stay in his mind this offseason. Although as much of a Laker and Kobe fan I am, part of me would like to see Kobe go to a team like Atlanta, for the best of him. Ofcourse the other part of me wants him to stay in L.A. even if it has to be as a Clipper. Nazr Mohammed in my opinion has always been an underrated player, and I'm curious to see how he'll react to this recent trade. Good trade, and makes sense for both teams.
i say it was a good trade for the hawks, but a better one for the blazers. Theo Ratliff is an amazing shot blocker and Reef has all around game, but i dont like sheed that much so thats probably why im thinkin its a better deal for the blazers.

It's all about the $$$.
Quick question, does anyone know why Wallace picked #36? I thought 30 was avalible on the Hawks... is this a retired number or something???
Atlanta gets a lot of cap space from this trade, and add that to Terrell Brandon's contract(if he doesn't player, which he won't, then he retires and they get A LOT of capspace without paying any luxury tax, which gets them a lot of money to spend on players next year) they can pretty much sign anyone. They could even take up Garnett's contract.
