- Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane will miss the remainder of the regular season due to a lower-body injury, but he is expected to return for the start of the playoffs after being placed on long-term injured reserve Friday. Kane suffered the injury when a player landed on his left leg during Wednesday's game against the St. Louis Blues. He will have to miss a minimum of 10 games and 24 days. General manager Stan Bowman said Kane will sit out the team's remaining 12 regular-season games.
