    I guess by then we will have a better idea of how Elliot and Barton look. But I can't help compare Wes to Mario Ellie. Every team who let him go regretted it. Including us. I know Wes is nothing more than a good bench player, but I like having him on the team.

    That could change by February. We will see.

    With how Wes acts and how Olshey has talked about him, I don't think were going to move Wes unless its in a trade for a true star. He seems to be, along with la, the real leaders of the team. Those are guys you don't really trade unless its for a proven commodity.

    I tend to agree. Listen to the Wes interview during the July 13 practice. He's embracing the leadership role. I think after the team mutiny last year, it's important to keep the leaders with the team, particularly with such a young team.

    I liked the part where he talked about Batum. The question was asked about how Nic's attitude would be like if Portland matches. Wes made it clear that Nic would need to get over it quickly and be a professional about it. He wasn't really concerned that Nic would have a problem, but he sounded pretty stern in saying Nic had no choice.

    Would love it if he was that hard working on the defensive end. Offensive end Wes really only has his ability to slash and 3p shooting, Barton already has a better offensive game in regards to everything but 3p shooting.

    You're probably right. It's probably not entirely fair, but a lot is riding on Lillard developing into a guy worthy of his draft position.
