Keep in mind…… Fizdale might have looked like the type of coach stars want. When the Grizzlies fired him, several big-name players – including LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Damian Lillard – showed support. But it was always a foolish idea to hire a coach based on his ability to lure stars. It’s such a minor factor for elite free agents.

Memphis was a top 8 defense under Fizdale in his only full season. Don’t care what happened in NY with a rebuilding team.
With the coaching announcements in full bloom, I suspect it will be Billups because we could announce D’Retread or Hammon anytime. Not what I’m hearing, but that puzzle fits
He also built great relationships with star players in Miami. And Joeger had issues with Marc Gasol too. Think you might be directing your ire at the wrong party here. Gasol also was whining with the Lakers and Vogel about PT.
He has a .202 winning % in NY in 104 games coached. Thibs took largely the exact same roster and won 41 of 72 games. no thank you. he's a trash coach.

I didn’t say anything about his coaching ability. I retorted how more players like him and appreciate him (on record) than the one player who doesn’t. Who also happened to have issues with Joeger. And Vogel. 1 player has had issues with damn near every coach he’s had.
Seems like the issue is with both parties — and neither side cares anymore. Maybe I misinterpreted your post, seems like you were painting a narrative that his players do not like him. Edit - Was combining a few posts together. Different posters. My apologies.
