I can’t believe the Vulcans took a couple days longer than these other team to make a decision. Trouble in paradise??

Nice try keeping a secret though, Neil

There were so many better coaching candidates available, it's laughable ... Olshey is a fraud and is going to run this franchise into the ground.

So it’s obvious that you are passionate about Billups not being a good hire. Who would you have liked to have seen, and why?

If it is indeed Billups, I’m happy it’s a coach that will bring new ideas and energy. Will it be successful? Who knows, but it’s going to be fun

    Oh god, where to start?

Ime Udoka - Pop coaching tree, Portlander
Becky Hammon - Pop Tree, actually coached a game
Darvin Ham - Up & Coming coach, great D coach
Charles Lee - Great up and coming coach
Mike D'Antoni - would have made Dame into MVP, teams play good enough D to win
Juwan Howard - Already ruled himself out, but from Spo's coaching tree, former Blazer, can relate to players, already turned Michigan around
Dawn Staley - USAWB Coach, Hall of Fame player, has the So. Carolina program absolutely humming
Erik Spoelstra - Long shot, but the best coach in the game imo

All great candidates, with more experience, and none of the baggage.

I’m happy, I just don’t like hearing this Fizdale shit. Gotta be better candidates than that Chauncey.

...the vetting process likely brought to light similar sentiment as one of the posters in here was eluding to :devilwink:

I had no problem IF Becky would have gotten the job but at some point it started to seem specially after Jody endorsed her that she was getting that endorsement CAUSE she was a WOMAN not for her coaching and in some ways the owner being a woman prolly hurt her chances a little kind of like when Dame wanted Kidd the optics basically looked off.
