I would pay legitimately probably $500 for some people in here to hear or read some of the stuff that I have been given about Hammon. Of course, they’d not believe him but oh well

I'd be happy to accept your $500. But even if Hammon is a serial killer/worst possible candidate, that doesn't make Billups a saint/best choice. He might be, for all I know, but Hammon's shortcomings wouldn't make him so.

Right. But if you are anti Billups for character issues but all in one someone else you (not you, just people) know nothing about you’d end up being a hypocrite. In this case.

It’s plug and play for him.

    This is his whole style.

Find something dramatic and click baity, find a victim who he can trot out, and then take the “Barts kids” tone of voice that makes me want to throw my phone.

Whether he was right or not this time, I still can’t stand the guy.

    Conzano would thrive in here

How do you know he isn’t here already?

*I don’t think he posts on any platform. The guy doesn’t know shit about hoops. He’s the Jerry Springer of our town.

Yeah, but in his own mind he is perfectly qualified to hire head coaches. STFU Canzano, if you are so good at it then go be a sports GM somewhere.

I have a problem with his article. A really good lawyer could sue his ass for libel. IMO he used Tracy to say he is a rapist.

Said Tracy: “Guess I won’t be going to any Blazer games. I’m glad the men who raped me didn’t amount to much because I can’t imagine how hard it is to watch your rapist succeed in life when you’re trying to deal with the fallout.”

    Thanks for the heads up.

She's also seemingly not considered for the HC position in Orlando anymore. Couldn't even get a second interview with Boston. Didn't make it far with Indiana last year. Wonder if she will be the first female head coach or it will be someone else...

Also the response to that article on other sites is pretty predictable. People saying it’s a hit piece, Blazers doing damage control etc.

I'm not sure what makes her the great candidate many say she is. The Spurs won the title the year before she was hired and were a dynasty, then hardly won any playoff series all the seasons she's been there, culminating with missing the playoffs the last two seasons. They haven't developed any young player to sniff at being an all star.

I'm all for a woman being hired if shes the best candidate. I vocally went against posters saying they didn't want a women hired because the team would have trouble firing her which is ridiculous.

But I also don't want her hired just because she's a women. Maybe she has more accomplishments than I'm aware of but I never hear these brought up, only how great it would be to have a woman head coach.

Why are they bringing up Portland only? Wasn't she also interviewed for other openings?

The reason why we were the subject is because she didn't get as far in the interview process with anyone else which may have been a PR mistake on our part but hopefully it just shows that we really were willing to hire her if she was the best candidate. Having a first interview with her could be viewed as a PR stunt but having the second interview with her means taking her seriously and it's nice to see her recognize it as having been a good opportunity for her.
