i dunno, i'm apathetic towards it. Fans and social justice warriors do what they do, but NBA teams (especially in Boston or Portland who are in win-now mode) aren't making social justice hires. they're gonna be on merit alone.

both Stevens and Olshey would get crucified if they did something like that just to advance a social cause, especially considering how hot their seats appeared to be.

Yeah, you never see billboards about male players playing for a team.

Do assistants usually interview while still in the playoffs?

I don’t think it’s uncommon. I know for a fact it happens in other sports.

D'Antonis basketball is extremely stagnaned in the Playoffs, his basketball is fun in regular season, but not in the Playoffs when defense picks up

I think he meant CJ. That's literally what CJ does now.

The thing about D’Antoni is he’s had success with different type of players ie Nash and Harden. He’s pretty much the pioneer of the game as we see it today. He also gets out of the first round consistently and almost beat a team we routinely got stomped by. He’s not my first choice, but I wouldn’t complain if he got the job. I also think all three of these candidates have been approved by Dame. His manager was praising MDA not long ago on twitter.

My only hang up with MDA is defense obviously. And this notion that an assistant can mitigate some of those issues is good in theory. But the culture is set by the head coach. We just dealt with similar issues where every decision was made with offense in mind. My fear is that it will be more of the same on the defensive end of the floor, and any improvements on offense will still not be enough to win us games late in the playoffs.

Yeah obviously if MDA gets the Job Olshey has to hire someone for defense

I just don't see how Olshey can make such a big deal about improving the defense in that press conference, especially with the context of firing Stotts...and then turn around and hire 70 year old D'antoni as head coach

on the other hand, Olshey is so myopic about CJ, if he thinks MDA can turn CJ into the player Olshey believes CJ is, then MDA might have the inside track

Isn't it "Grainy Pics"? There was another guy that posted blurry pics around here? Not sure which one it was but he had something to do with a guy getting traded to Portland or something like that?
