It really going be what the candidate what's every team could entice certain invidiuals to heavy at certain teams. For us they chance to coach Dame plus the organization pretty solid. Boston you some young studs that leads that team and pelicans same you get chance coach Zion and Washington you got Beal and Westbrook and so on. So there going be competition the 3 we looking at because might think it will better fit somewhere else. Yes olshey better not sit in hands to long or he might not get who wants. I think longer it goes then it won't look good for Becky be hire due to they could hire her today if she the ones the other 2 are in the playoffs right now.
If I'm Becky, I would pick New Orleans. It's a young team and they can grow with her. I also think the expectations to win immediately would be much much lower. With all the rape allegations coming out again, I'm not sure if Billups would really want to return to Boston. I also think MDA would prefer Dame over Boston. When has MDA ever had success without a top tier guard?
If that's her thinking, Orlando would be better choice. N.O. just fired a coach after one season with a lot of money left on his deal because he couldn't get them to the playoffs. It's not the winning expectations that we or Boston have, but far greater than Orlando
All these people saying other jobs would be more tantalizing than Portland, but looking back, who offers more job security than the Blazers organization? Look how long Stotts and McMillan had for all their mediocrity. Whoever gets hired next is likely to get 5+ years with this franchise.
Orlando has no state income tax Any coach coming in has to know Olshey could easily get fired quickly, making this job risky because a new GM will want their own coach
Lol @ the Pelicans job being more attractive than Portland. That is completely ridiculous. Boston and Portland are by far the best jobs available. Not even close.
I feel like the Pelicans job would be more attractive if they weren't about to be on their 3rd coach in 3 years. Would not feel secure going in.
What young talent do we have to compete with Zion and Ingram? We have a 30 year old star on the back end of his prime.
Depends on what you are using to evaluate the attractiveness. If you are just going based on the top players for their respective team, who would you rather have? A 31 yo Dame or a 21 yo Zion. That's a tough call.
...what leads you to believe Dame is on the back-end of his prime peak. He's gotten better every season so far. Do you expect him to suddenly have a drop off in production now that he is 30yo?
