Hmm, I thought the Heat had this one. Good game from the Cavs.

And McInnis and Rafer played about even, but Wade beat them both.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ira Newble blocked Dwayne Wade's shot in the final second, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 30 points on 14-for-16 shooting as Cleveland matched its win total from last season by defeating the Miami Heat 94-93 Wednesday night.

Wade, returning to the lineup after missing 13 games with a sprained wrist, had his short shot swatted away by Newble as Cleveland improved to 17-28. The Cavs, who went 4-1 on a homestand, were 17-65 a year ago.

Rookie LeBron James added 27 points -- 11 in the fourth quarter -- and Dajuan Wagner scored a huge basket with 7.9 seconds left for the Cavs, who won despite not having forward Carlos Boozer.

Boozer, averaging 23 points and 16 rebounds in his last five games, left the team to attend a family funeral.

Great finish. And nice prediction on Z King James. Lebron was great towards the end, a tremendous team effort.

    LMAO

I would not have said that if I knew that Boozer would not been there. I'll be a man and admit that.

Amazing how we keep winning without a full roster. How will this team play with Bron, Z, Booz, Jeff, Wags, Eric, and Tony all healthy?

    Look out East.

I am unsure, but I will answer that for myself.

Brown needs to attack the basket more, bottom line. Too many times he just stands around looking for a 3 pointer, though he has shot them well, his athletic ability is just a waste if he does that.

Silas does this a lot to try and put some hunger back into his players, maybe this will work for him.

    Maybe, I hope so!
Over to the game, it was GREAT! I'd to see the winning shot by Wagner and the block by Newble, that won the game! Bad that Carlos Boozer was away!

    Sizzling Cavs defeat Heat

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Late-game comeback leads to third consecutive victory

Carlos Boozer never arrived, but maybe his team has.

The Cavaliers won one the hard way Wednesday, they earned it.

Short-handed and playing with hurting knees, sore ankles and blood-stained uniforms, they scrapped until the final horn to edge the Miami Heat 94-93.

Even without the streaking Boozer, who missed the game while attending a family funeral, they bullied their opponents when it mattered most to win their third consecutive game. It ended a homestand in which the Cavaliers (17-28) went 4-1, and they've now won six of their last eight. And, quite symbolically, equaled their victory total for all of the miserable 2002-03 season.

This Eastern Conference is turning into a joke. There are only 4 teams above .500 for god's sake. Teams like the Cavs, Knicks and 76ers deserve trophies! [IMG]

Well I missed this game because i was in school. While you loyal Cavs fans were on the edge of your seat watching a dramatically close game, I was pushing a pencil and a T-square around. I however was able to catch some highlights of the game. I saw some nice moves from LeBron, the reverse layup was pretty sweet, the jumpshot on Wade, then the stare down haha. Great shot Wagner and great block Newble. It's good to see that Ira has been playing terrific defense as of late. He has really picked up his game. His defense brings his offense and i see a nice jumpshot starting to work for him. Way to go to step up Cavs.

Great win for the Cavs here, The play of the game is when LeBron faked the pass and went up strong with the dunk, I think that is the first time he has done that the whole year.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nineteen-year-old rookies just don't do this. Michael Jordan did.

``It's what the great players do,'' said Silas. `` 'Bron was awesome.''

But James (27 points) also had plenty of help.

DaJuan Wagner swished what proved to be the game winner with 7.4 seconds left, an outrageous right-handed layup from the left side of the rim. The ball seemed to go about 20 feet straight up in the air and came down barely touching the net.

Wagner also fired in a 25-footer for three points early in the quarter, the only 3-pointer the Cavs made all night.
