I hate the rain, makes me want to stay inside. If I had dark skin this would be heaven. I'll burn in minutes.
Me too. Well, I enjoy 75-85, anything north of that is unethical. Give me rain and give me cool weather.
I'm cool with anything between 60 to 90, although high 80s is close to the danger zone. July and August down here predictably sucks.
Must be the orange air talking Q: Did you hear about the power outage at a Los Angeles mall? A: Thirty shoppers were stuck on the escalator for three hours. Q: What’s the difference between Los Angeles and yogurt? A: Yogurt has an active living culture. Q: How do you confuse a Los Angeles resident? A: You can't, they were born that way. Q: How do you make UCLA cookies? A: Put them in a big Bowl and beat for 3 hours. Q: What should you do if you find three Lakers fans buried up to their neck in cement? A: Get more cement. Q: What's the difference between a Lakers’ basketball player and a dollar? A: You can get four quarters out of a dollar. I'm not saying Lakers basketball players are dumb, but the coach is dressing six players for the home opening game. The rest will dress themselves.
I survived. I'm so excited for Tuesday night where it's gonna dip down to 48... I'm gonna wake up early and just sit on the porch and enjoy the cool air.
I cant stand hot. Worst part about moving here. Night time might get down to 80 occasionally and your ac can catch up briefly. I have central air and had to install a window unit in my bedroom just to sleep.
good call, you can avoid weather altogether and just adapt to smog with those day glo orange skies...LA weather will slowly turn you into beef jerky
When I used to work in education and see hundreds of Oregonians everyday it always amazed me when after a winter of muck...the first day it's 80 in the spring people would come to the office and complain about the heat!
I love the heat over in Portland. It doesn't last too long and it is dry. Here in Florida, the humidity will destroy your will to do anything. I actually just got done playing basketball at an outdoor court here in Panama City and I feel like death. I had plans today, but I am now going to do absolutely nothing. Although, St Andrews bay is right behind my house, so I'll probably take a dip and have a cold beer at some point.
Says someone who hasn't been off the strip I bet. Hoover Dam, Mt. Charleston, Red Rock park....could go on and on. Just the peacefulness of the grocery store is amazing. Going back to the NW the grocery store sounds like a basketball game is going on inside. You don't realize it until you move somewhere dry.
As for the eclipse 6 months from now, I found a map you can download. http://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/details.cgi?aid=4515
