What the heck did this guy do or Not do? "inappropriate and offensive comments" is hardly enough to go on.
How about going on helping a fellow poster out. If you wanted a petition signed, I would do it unless there it was something I completely disagreed with. Spud is credible and the issue is important to her. But if you aren't comfortable signing it, i get it. I just like that we talk so much politics on here and we can actually make a difference in this local issue. FWIW-the guy got screwed over by the board and VPs and these are decisions that normally goes unnoticed which is why they do moves like this. All the petition is doing is showing that people cared about this decision and for someone to take a second look at it. If we really want to get into this one, that would be fun because again it is local and we can have an impact. So do you think his firing was appropriate? I think politics came into play and the VPs and board flexed their muscle to show what kind of power they had. It was unjustified and wrong, but again they are used to getting away with these kind of moves. Power to the people!
Thank you everyone for helping out. I appreciate anything we can get including out of state signatures!
I have to admit that I only read three of the proffered articles..but it does give insight into the system...
Rather appalling to me, that we have a State chartered corporation with a board of directors only appointed by the Governor. When they get into a bicker over a guy they hire seems more or less what you would expect from a board of non business people. I suppose the Governor can look into the matter anytime he might want, but then they are his people to begin with, not the poor schmuck from Colorado.
Another article on this fiasco. We appreciate anyone willing to sign the petition. http://www.workerscompensation.com/...omparison-and-a-letter-from-john-plotkin.html We're at 486 and there are only about 800 employees at the company so we really need your help!!! http://www.thepetitionsite.com/595/926/247/bring-john-plotkin-back-to-saif-corporation/
Another article in Willamette Weekly today... it's starting to get more local press! http://www.wweek.com/portland/blog-...plotkin_will_petition_gov_john_kitzhaber.html
