While I like the article, a few comments

Camby was clearly unhappy and had quit. I suspect he asked for a trade, but even if not we weren't getting our moneys worth from him. It was an excellent move to clear the cap space.

Yes, Houston has done a great job but we have completely dysfunctional management. They don't. We have to deal with that issue.

    I like our strategy.

He was expiring anyway. And he was clearly unhappy because of Nate.

Camby was going to expire anyhow. This is a complete tear-down to try and tank games and improve lottery chances. I half-suspect they kept Felton just so he can poison what's left of the locker room when Flynn and Nolan Smith start eating into his minutes.

I couldn't even finish reading this stupid article. Camby is damn near 40 years old. That fact seems to be totally over-looked, as though we just decided to trade him in his prime for trash. Also, Camby has not been playing well lately. What good is talent if you're not even trying? And he certainly does not have "elite" athletisism anymore.

Oh my god, we traded him to our arch rival, the Rockets :MARIS61:, now they may actually get the 8th seed and will mess the playoffs!!!! Oh God?! Who gives a fuck? This move was about getting rid of a percieved attitude problem....and we got a prospect in Jonny Flynn.

I think people are underrating the Minny pick. Nobody was going to give up a first rounder to rent a 37 year old for 40 days, so we did excellent to get a potential asset. This is the deepest draft in 9 years, so theres a chance we could get a productive player with the pick. Minny doesn't have Rubio and could fall in the standings which would further improving the pick.

It's funny, though. Everyone talks about how deep this draft is. But more and more over the past 10 days, I've seen how many analysts talk about how the initial perspective on the draft was incorrect, and that the draft isn't as deep and talented as has been portrayed. I don't see a lot of superstars (at least no sure-fire stars), but I certainly see quite a few solid starters.

One thing is for sure... With two lotto picks, I am sure enjoying March Madness that much more. I have to watch and scout guys, see some of the top prospects that could end up in Portland. That dynamic makes the tourney so much more fun, IMO.

Ya know, I've wondered about all that.

Maybe we have a possible trade down the road with one of the players we picked up or wanted the second pick as a small chip to consummate a trade. Otherwise, we could have just excused him for the rest of the season. So I hope we have some ulterior motive for the trade.
