http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/17/us/politics/donald-trump-birther-obama.html?_r=0 Trump Drops False ‘Birther’ Theory, but Floats a New One: Clinton Started It Hiliar's unpaid PR firms, the main stream media, have been pushing this story all day. Trump is completely wrong about the Clinton campaign starting the birther nonsense. Or so they say every 5 minutes on CNN, with a stream of guests to confirm Trump is full of shit. But let me take you back to 2008, when Clinton ran against Obama. Notice the date of the article. http://www.politico.com/story/2008/02/obama-slams-smear-photo-008667 By MIKE ALLEN 02/25/08 09:50 AM EST Obama slams smear photo Obama campaign manager David Plouffe accused the Clinton campaign Monday of "shameful offensive fear-mongering" by circulating a photo as an attempted smear. Plouffe was reacting to a banner headline on the Drudge Report saying that aides to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) had e-mailed a photo calling attention to the African roots of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).
So what's your point here, that there was a bitter contest between Obama and Hillary in 2008 for the Democratic nomination? That's not exactly news.
The media is saying Trump lied about the birther thing originating with Clinton's campaign. It actually did. So the media is lying. I'm no fan of Trump, but I'm no fan of biased media either.
It's pretty bad today, regarding Trump saying Hillary's guards should disarm. I read it, and took it, as him poking fun at her position against gun rights, all the while having armed guards etc. The media pushing their agenda is saying hes wanting violence against Hillary.....idiots.
I found it rather hilarious when the media was repeating every few minutes that Trump is a Russian plant, Manchurian Candidate. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...9-chicago-white-sox/57689ffd981b92a22d2421e1/ The Daily 202: Is Trump a Manchurian Candidate? Or maybe the 1919 Chicago White Sox? http://www.salon.com/2016/08/26/is-...sic-dont-seem-so-far-fetched-in-2016-america/ Is Trump the Manchurian Candidate? Themes in the 1950s classic don’t seem so far-fetched in 2016 America
Emailing a photo of Obama dressed in African clothes is not the same thing as birtherism. Nice try, Deny. barfo
http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2008/08/penn-strategy-memo-march-19-2008/37952/ Penn Strategy Memo, March 19, 2007 Penn Strategy Memo, March 19, 2007: More than anything else, this memo captures the full essence of Mark Penn's campaign strategy--its brilliance and its breathtaking attacks. Penn identified with impressive specificity the very coalition of women and blue-collar workers that Clinton ended up winning a year later. But he also called Obama "unelectable except perhaps against Attila the Hun," and wrote, "I cannot imagine America electing a president during a time of war who is not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and in his values." Penn proposed targeting Obama's "lack of American roots." (the entire document is at the link)
The media is whining about how the birther thing was an attempt to de-legitimize Obama's presidency. Wah, wah. Gore's attempt to steal the 2000 election and the Sore/Losermans afterward claim W's election was illegitimate because the SC ruled 7-2 Gore's theft attempt was unconstitutional. Even though no counting of the votes in Florida resulted in Gore having more votes.
Yes it did. We all know they are liars. Her campaign manager wrote the strategy memo. Her surrogates executed. Obama accused them of doing so. I provided the link. It is a technicality, though. Obama's opponent in the senate race also raised similar bogeymen.
And what do you think it was, Deny? Theft? Steal? That's an interesting way to phrase it. It was a very close election where Gore won the popular vote. Asking for a recount isn't some sort of unAmerican thing. barfo
No Deny. You are just making stuff up (or rather, repeating stuff your hero Donald made up). Look at the dates in your links. The memo could not have caused the picture to be emailed. barfo
It wasn't that he asked for a recount, it's that he asked for recounts only in democratic party controlled precincts and under absurd rules, like "intent of the voter." Even handed reporting might mention that democrats tried to delegitimize W (and still do). It's not unique to Obama.
The key to avoiding biased media coverage for me is simple....something I've done for years...don't watch TV...then your news coverage is your choice which is really all it ever is....everyone's opinions are biased one way or another anyway...so you formulate your own reasoning and understand the vast majority of political spin is pure bullshit and distortions and lies are part of the play book..I read the majority of my news coverage selectively so I'm not going to be objective in many cases..like a lot of you, I'm opinionated...so CNN doesn't influence me really anymore than Fox
Hillary's campaign totally started the birther controversy in 2007. Only the senile and sheep can "claim" they don't remember. It was the main topic of the media for the entire Dem Primary campaign. As a lifelong Dem who voted twice for Bill, I was intending to vote for Hillary but ended up voting for Obama twice, mainly due to the obvious smear tactics and avoidance of talking about the issues. Her campaign used the birther charge on a massive scale. It was the main focal point of her media soldiers. For many Dems, it brought to light the "man behind the curtain" controlling the party.
Ok, you are right, I was incorrect, didn't notice the years. Didn't mean to use DenyMath (TM). However, that just makes your claim more implausible. A memo is written, and a year later, a photo is emailed. Neither one mentions Obama's birthplace, but you claim this is evidence of birtherism. Weak sauce. barfo
Something about 'everybody does it doesn't make it right'. Did you say that just a day or two ago? barfo
