For the record, the Vikings made a quantum leam in ship design when they began making longboats....it was thos boats that allowed them to invade from sea, something that had been unthinkable at the time....Ill take a Viking longboat over the ole Jolly Roger anyday, no fire power, but no way in hell you could catch me, or hit me at that speed

    Beef,

Why doesnt it suprise me you always pull away
from the original thread. Quantum leam?
I dont think a quantum leam could out run
cannon ball, meanwhile it sinks to the bottom
of the sea. Other wise evolution says pirates
would of been floating aroung with a oversized
canoe. I take the jolly roger or the even the black
pearl over a viking boat. Besides one cannon
ball and it takes out half the crew on viking boat
as it sinks. Big war ships that were stolen by pirates
took many cannon balls and still was afloat.

The only problem with your theory Bucs, is that your Black Pearl, couldnt get into a firing position against a Viking Longboat, the Longboat is too fast, and the reason that Pirates didnt use Longboats is because they needed the cannons, Vikings did not, they prefered to get face to face with thier enemies and cut thier heads off...Using your beloved "Pirates of the Carribean" as the example, note that the Dauntless was the power of the waters, but no ship could match the Interceptor for speed, except the Pearl of course....Remember when the Pearl is chasing the Interceptor and the crew is worried because they cant get into a firing position without the Pearl firing 1st?? Same thing with a Longboat, except the Longboat would just flee the scene and wait for an oppurtunity....I see you are mocking me for a typing error, I thought you were a grown up, but now I see your an 8 year old girl....And for the record, Ill take Charlemane to lead my football team, Napoleon had a serious inferiority complex, I dont need that around my players...

Actually you are mis interpering me for sarcasim.
I reallly never heard of the boat you claim. Did i
know you miss printed actually no. I put a question
mark there for a reason. What is the quantam leam?
Beef, i think you are jumping to conculusions here.
Sorry if i sounded sarcastic with the mockery, i didnt
realize you miss typed. I was making a point lol.

Not everything has to be serious, but this is expected
when you shy away from the main thread. Lets stay on
it, As for the 8 year old girl statement lol. ive blown that
insult off. I can understand if you thought i was insulting
you. I'd probably do the same. Lets stick with the thread
tho. [IMG] This man should join the buccaneers and come
to the dark side of the force.

Ps. i actually liked that movie pirates of the carribean.

The term I was searching for was Quantum Leap, as in the Vikings boat builders made a Quantum Leap in aquatic technology when they designed and built the Viking Longboats....thier slender shape and shallow draft allowed them to be lighting fast and allowed the invading Vikings to sail right up to a shore, jump off and invade territories once thought invunerable to seige, because of the surrounding oceans...and you got us on this subject when you wrote:

"Remember one thing. It was buccaneers that
invaded them ireland waters and stole tresures lol.
    Buccaneers Territoryâ„¢

Ps. I too liked that movie Pirates of the Carribean.

Back on the original subject. If you had watched the Eagles from 1987-1993, you would no doubt jump on the Philly bandwagon. From the most electrifying player in the early 90s, Randall Cunningham, to one of the most dominant defensive line of all time with Reggie White, the late Jerome Brown. Clyde Simmons and Mike Golic. The Eagles would seem like the obvious choice. Even now, i m flabbergasted and there is nothing short of astonishing when i watch McNabb play. He reminds me so much of Cunningham in his prime.
