a tree limb fell on my moms roof.

Luckily it doesn’t look like it did it any damage. Also luckily, I was safe in the basement playing Xbox and eating hot pockets

    No Totinos?

Glad your mom's house is ok. Was it a big limb?

Totinos take too long. There’s a microwave and mini fridge (full of mt dew) next to my gaming chair

It wasn’t too big. It was pretty long but only the top of it landed on the roof. The heavy part landed in the lawn.

I used to have a set up like that.

    Good about the branch.

Copped this. Only $160. Wanted the model up but couldn't justify the extra $120. Parents told me a bunch of their friends lost power around town.

If you're moving to Texas I would say that's definitely a good purchase. The power grid down there is jacked.

I'll probably get solar panels and a battery (i.e. Tesla powerwall).

We lost power here in LA when it got hot last summer a few times

Every time I think of power outages in California I can't help but remember Enron.

Torrential rain and flooded streets on New Years Eve. Emergency services are going to be busy.

Going to a neighbor on foot.

I live in East Bay and the whole Bay Area is uneven, hills and valleys. Water is pooling in lower lying streets. It can't drain fast enough.

Be safe. If you feel at any time like your house will be washed away….. please make me a couple batches of those blind brownies you’ve been promising me for years.

Sunny today. A chance to drain before rain starts again tomorrow. Expected to continue a week.

This poor family in Sonoma. First a tree crashed through the roof, killing their two year old child. Then the house collapsed, killing the cat. Husband injured but will survive. In minutes went from happy family with nice home to devastated and homeless.
