I dont know, maybe I'm wrong but I just didnt like the moves he made in Toronto. He's probably better suited as an Assistant GM anyways.

A big difference between being a real GM and just playing Dynasty mode on NBA Live is the public aspect. The knowledgable and involved Raptors' fan had a general idea of what he was trying to do and knew that the team needed to rebuild. And they understood that the process would entail some pretty bad seasons. I thought he had a pretty good plan of action (stockpiling picks, while waiting for the contracts to expire), but, as the face of the Raptors, he wasn't able to sell that team to the city and the casual fans. The VC trade and Hoffa pick were public relations disasters and, IMO, were the major reasons he was fired early. It's a shame though, because it unfairly overshadows some solid drafting/trading, cap management, and the fact that Colangelo's new team owes a hell of a lot of credit to Babcock's rebuilding phase.
