Pretty cool interview with Casey. He said if there is a lockout, he will get the team together to run pickup in NC. Thinks that will be a good way of earning the teammates' trust and become a leader.

Andre Miller did the same thing when he got to Portland and McMillan made him the backup.

Miller still tried to play well. He voiced his displeasure but he didn't sand bag it.

He stuck to his game and didn't try hard to adapt at all at first imo.

Felton still played fine in Denver, despite his usg% being the lowest of his career.

Why would a guy adapt his game at his age if it's still working for him? The Blazers knew who he was when they signed him. It's bullshit to sign a guy like that and ask him to change. If you don't like his game, don't' sign him.

McMillan said from day 1 he always envisioned Miller coming off the bench and leading the 2nd unit. According to him he never made any promises about who would start.

Miller had it all wrong from day 1, thinking he should be given the spot, when the team just won 54 games w/o him. Roy saw this early and pointed out, although he ended up being a villain for being right.

He reminds me of Kelvin Ransey.

If I remember right, Strickland wasn't one of the four involved in that Utah incident.

I just love how you guys overlook that this team has been decimated by injuries, but it's Miller's fault that we haven't made it out of the first round, or improved on the sacred 54-win team that Miller destroyed when he was signed.

No, he shouldn't have been given the starting role over a guy that he has outplayed his entire career. No, he obviously was a bad fit next to Roy, even though the stats disprove that, or that he and Roy barely played together because of injuries to Roy.

Everything was Miller's fault and it's fan-fucking-tastic that he's gone now. The era of Felton has begun! Happy days!!!

Damn, you might be right. He got into a little trouble if I remember right.

It's not my fault Andre Miller showed a lack of respect for what the Blazers did w/o him.

And yes, Miller was not a good fit at all next to Roy. Not a big secret.

    He sure did

Showed a lack of respect for McMillan by refusing to accept his new role on a 54 win team while also alienating Brandon Roy. Miller just had to have it his way.

What I will miss most about Miller is the fact that he came out of his shell and allowed himself to be emotional on and off the court.

Miller as a player, there are parts of his game I will miss but also welcome other aspects another PG will bring.

Miller as a person, I will miss the person that took me a year or so to figure out and took him about a year to start to feel comfortable with his team. Watching him go after playing solid for 2 years and starting to enjoy his team . . . I understand why Andre has his guard up and keeps to himself when it comes to the NBA.

My first thought was also Kelvin "Butterworth" Ransey.

I have a feeling this will not end well. :sigh:

Then again, we need a great PG who can shoot and a solid backup center/PF.

We traded Ransey for ooper and Porter.

Maybe we can get the same deal for Felton? :dunno:
