I realize that. I was responding to someone who did.

The same thing was said about Roy playing with Miller,,,,but they played together just fine. They'll only get better playing together and the same would be with Paul.

Also the comment that Oden packs it in and is bad for Roy is ridiculous. Lets see teams double team Roy with Oden healthy and playing. He'll only take pressure off of Roy.

I would love us to get Paul and keep Roy. Just give us more weapons for other teams to have to deal with.

A lot of people, including myself, thought that Andre Miller was going to turn Oden and Aldridge into a super stud because of all the alley-oops they would be receiving and how Miller would set everyone else up so perfectly.

I know that Andre Miller is no Chris Paul, but would Paul really have that kind of impact that so many thought Miller would have with his passing? I'm sure that if it didn't, you'd have to start looking at the coaching staff and wondering what in the hell is going on.

Major disagree. Only one played well at any given time, as far as I can recall.

I'd like to see what Miller could do with a healthy roster. But CP3 has a 3 point shot that would have helped in the Playoffs when the Suns were just playing off of Miller etc.

Actually, it's not. It's about getting as much talent as you can, whether you're maximizing it or not.

If that's a yes or no question, then the answer seems to be CLEARLY "yes"... but I don't think that's likely given his contract status and the relative dearth of players in the NBA that are at his level.

In the real world, I mean. Technically you're right, but no team ever amasses enough talent to win a title without maximizing (or coming close to maximizing) what they have, as far as I'm concerned. Having one of your major stars at only 80% is an inefficiency that would severely hurt your chances to win a title.

It may not be likely, but neither is getting a player the caliber of Paul without giving up Roy. It's simply a consideration one must keep in mind and see whether it is possible or becomes possible.

In the end, basketball comes down to matchups. We lost the Suns series because with all our injuries, the Suns had too many options for us to cover.

It's not Roy at 80%; it's Roy picking his points to dominate his opponent. With a lineup that includes Paul, Roy, Aldridge and Oden you can't double everyone. Someone will have an open shot or an advantage over your opponent. Furthermore, a smart PG finds the open man or the man with an advantage.
