We were going to put a man cave over the garage, but we put it off to sell the house. Mine right now is not a man cave at all. It's a kids area where they play video games on the tv. Normally those two slot machines you see are accompanied by a few more video games, but we took those out to make it look bigger. And the bar you see is tapped with root beer
BeerBoy..... did I tell you my brother bought a restaurant here in the hood. Great beers on tap. Great bento...... steak, chicken, salmon. The Red Fig up on NE 46th and Fremont! Spread the word FAMS!
Ya, he took over from a friend of mine who opened it about 12 years ago. I'm biased of course, but I highly recommend it. Great food, great atmosphere. Spread the word!
Hopefully they do well with the restaurant. Everything he's been posting makes it look good. I'll try and check it out next time I'm back in town. What is it by on Fremont? I can't picture anything past Staniches/Almafi's area. Is it up by R&R?
just upgraded to the Panasonic 55" 3D "Smart"TV and their BluRay/3D player. Anyone have any experience with 3D sound and whether it's worth it to invest in? My wife won't let me have my BA tower speakers in the house, and my receiver doesn't have the 3D sound or 1.4 sound pass-thru-and-back, so it's not like I have an audiophile setup anymore anyway. But we really enjoyed Avengers in 3D last night, and tonight I'm going to see what an up-converted 2D-to-3D looks like.
I recently replaced my projector in the family room, so I had my old projector sitting in the closet. We had to make some changes to our bedroom so I decided "why not put the old projector in there?". I now have a 119" TV in my bedroom. It's ridiculous, but admittedly spectacular at the same time. Even my wife is in awe (which is a feat). Projector is on the bed wall in a wall mounted cabinet. All wires run to the opposing walk in closet via the attic. In the closet is the receiver, xbox, bluray player. Speakers 5.1 Polk Satellites with a Definitive Technology 8" sub hidden in the white bookcase. Wanted to keep the sub and speakers small to allow the bedroom to still be bedroom vs a theater with a bedroom in it (if you know what I mean). The screen is a 120" Da Lite electric drop. I've snapped a few pics with my phone.
