Honestly, I think a partial rebuild is needed

The obvious move is to trade Fox, none of the other premier players are likely to waive anything but Adam is the face of this current franchise - offensively talented with zero physicality. I agree about Lindgren too, big heart but a tad undersized to clear creases and little to offer offensively. Drury needs to get bigger and meaner defensively for the playoffs. I think Wheeler was a great add for the money on a cash strapped team for post season. I agree about Goodrow's salary but also remember Barkley single handedly beat the Debs one game during last year's flop so I'd keep him through this year. The only reason I'd keep Kappo is like the other wonder twin he'll earn nothing in arbitration which helps the cap.

All I know is that this team is poorly constructed and our GM has been a walking cluster fuck since day one and nobody can dispute that.

You really can’t argue for the GM when the team put themselves in a financial bind that prohibits them from having a competent bottom six.

Drury never should have gotten the job to start with. Said it then, what did he do to be the Pres and GM of any team, especially an Original 6 team in NYC - he had not earned it or proven he could handle that yet. But Dolan being Dolan, with a Sather assist, and here we are. The positive is the cap will finally go up next season, but Drury has a hole to dig out of now. Core changing moves are needed, and Goodrow needs to go this summer also, cannot have his $3.6M cap hit here any longer for 1 goal.

I hope he doesn't throw good capital after bad by dealing picks, or future assets to prop up a flawed team at the trade DL.

Drury doesn’t have the balls to make moves. Of the creativity.
