Dame plays in a conference where he see’s much better competition every night. I think when comparing east and west players we should remember to take that into account.
Any list of the best at something that doesn't have T-Rob at #1 isn't worth paying attention to. The author of that obviously knows nothing about basketball.
It took me a few seconds and I got half way into a “what the heck are you talking about comment”, then it hit me.
I don't know why but back in the day a group of my friends would always jokingly say that Shawn Bradley was the best at anything. It was so stupid but it was a running gag for years. So if we were having a conversation of best player of all time you'd have to preface it by saying "If you can't say Shawn Bradley". It didn't even have to be about basketball or sports, like who could chug a beer the fastest the answer is always Shawn Bradley! Anyway, my point of the story is that I really hope T-Rob is just that guys version of the Shawn Bradley joke.
To be honest, James Harden should be number 2, and possibly number 1 on this list. The only reason he doesn't play the position now is because there's another good player on his team who can only play PG. It's not his fault that he's the best SG in the league and a top 2 PG. If you had to start a team right now and just wanted to win, you pick Harden or Curry as your PG. And by that standard, I think you pick Westbrook 5th or 6th.
A PG is usually the smallest guy on the court, who guards likewise. LeBron isn't a PG. Harden isn't a PG. Both could play their, but there is a such thing as a ball-dominant wing that creates exceptionally well for others. Don't know why they get put in the "PG" box.
good insight, but I disagree with Westbrick. I don't think you build around him at all, he self-limits teams.
This definition of "PG" is antiquated. It is 2018-- when a PG needs to do more than just come down the court and pass the ball.
Wouldn't that make him the easiest to build around? Everyone else, you'd technically be building below. Which is probably Westbrook's ideal scenario.
lol, oh we have had this discussion many years ago when he was in Olive touting this magnificent stat as the Holy Grail for point guards
