Adding Roy will definitely be nice, but anything he contributes I'll consider a bonus. Hopefully he can find a role for himself off the bench and stay healthy. Getting Camby back for rebounding will be huge.
Weren't you the guy who earlier in this thread said the Blazers didn't deserve to win this game? Surprised you're still around.
Great bounce back effort in the fourth from the guys. Really cleaned up the boards and the D after getting shredded the first three quarters. It's really amazing that LaMarcus has gone from a guy that seemed to fear the spotlight and cripple under the pressure late in games, to this....simply an incredible transformation.
This team needs every healthy body they can get. Plus, I can't believe how quick people are to (harshly) cast off our former franchise player.
The bench is terrible right now. Anything Roy can give will be better, at least consistently, than anything the team is getting from Rudy, Mills, and the gang. Lost in this win was how bad the bench was tonight. 10 points on 3-10 (2-8 3pt) shooting with 5 assists, 3 TOs, and 3 rebounds is not going to cut it for the rest of the season. Get Camby back in the starting line-up, and let's see what Roy can help spark off of the bench.
And it's not like Roy is gonna be inserted in the starting line up. He will be a great boost off the bench. Our 2nd unit is down right anemic and Roy would really help.
I've never seen such a "switch" flipped on by a now elite player. It has certainly been fun watching him develop, but he went from a very good player to an All-NBA level player seemingly overnight. It's a bit bizarre, yet also fascinating, to witness.
I can't wait to see a rested Aldridge against the Lakers. At this point the only time he's not dominating is when he is running on fumes. When he's had rest he flat out dominates.
Tonight was a good example. He said he was winded in the 3rd, and he only scored a bucket, I believe. Then he got rest in between quarters and dominated in the 4th. So awesome!
Let me just say that I agree to a point. Any healthy bodies we can get is good and if Roy can contribute anything positvely then awesome. I just have a bad feeling of Roy iso's instead of getting the ball to Aldridge and many defensive lapses by Roy. I guess I should not judge until he actually does play, but if I see plenty of Roy iso's or the team not running much I will be frusterated. And to the other guy, yes I did say the Blazers did not deserve to win and I meant it the way they were playing in the second and third quarters. Our whole team was just letting the Hornets get offensive rebounds at will and lacked energy in trying to rebound. Thankfully they did shut me up and put more energy and effort into stopping the Hornets and grabbing the rebounds.
