This is like the second Astros game I've watched, and I must say, I'm impressed. Thank you Chris Burke.
Oh **** me... Am I the only ****ing cardinals fan here? No I didn't jump on the Cardinals bandwagon, I live in St. Louis, and baseball has always been big.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting THE DREAM:</div><div class="quote_post">4 runs might be too much for the astros bats to overcome....damn backey.</div> Cmon man, this is Clutch City. And it doesn't just apply to the Rockets! Man this was the best Astros game ive ever seen. A 6 hour, 18 inning game, wow. And I saw every pitch!
Haha...wow great game. My girlfriend was jumping on the walls because she is the biggest astros fan and to top it all off she went to eat dinner right when Burke hit it.

Dang, missed most of the game cause i was watching the texans. How stupid is that? Its about time though that Burke shows us what he is worth, and boy do i see the potential now. If this can carry into the next series, the astros will be deadly. I say astros in six, maybe seven. We should win the first game.

Im just hoping we get a high draft pick now. For me it's all Astros right now! And beginning Tuesday the Rockets!
Awesome game by the Astros. It was a dramatic ending coming from a 6-1 deficit to the record breaking 18th inning heroic play by Chris Burke. I thought they were already out of the game when suddenly Berkman hits a grandslam in the 8th and Ausmus hitting a home run in the 9th with 2 out already to tie and set the enduring game of the postseason history. What a nice way to start the week Astros/Rockets fans.

The Cardinals have good pitching, backed by great hitters (Reggie Sanders 10 RBIs), and have a great bullpen. Plus you guys had a red hot Beltran this year, and still couldn't pull it out. Go Cardinals!
The Cardinals are gonna have a hard time hitting this time around. The pitching rotation may look like this. Atleast that's what I would do. Game1: Pettitte Game2: Oswalt Game3: Clemens Game4: Pettitte Game5: Oswalt (if necessary) Game6: Clemens (if necessary) Game7: Pettitte (if necessary) It's all gonna depend on the Cards pitching and the Astros hitting. Even with all these stats you never know who's gonna win, crazy things happen all the time.
Atlanta is a good pitching team actually, one of the best in the league, and their feilding is excellent too. Its amazing we scored on them like that. I wouldnt put thier batting as average, they have andrew jones, chipper jones, betemit, giles, and furcal are all pretty good. With clemens, pettite, and oswalt, and lidge closing, we are a way better pitching team then the cards. We havent missed beltran at all with ensberg, and the reason we lost last year was cause of injuries, we only had a three man rotation and a horrible bullpen. We have pettite back now and a much stronger bullpen, including wheeler.
I was looking around on ESPN and found this. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Page 2: Out of the loop It was a veritable smorgasbord of uni-related details this past weekend, starting with Johnny Damon wearing an Astros cap during Boston's wild card celebration, instead of the Red Sox cap everyone else was wearing. Crossing my fingers for next year!
haha...I'd love johnny damon coming to the astros. I'd follow them more, but the astros lost last season because of their bullpen. The majority of the card's runs came from when the bullpen was out there. Now we are stronger and we have hitters that can compare to last year. I say it'll go to 7 again and we will see what happens.
I watched 18 innings of that Game. Absolute Brilliance. I didn't cheer or anything. Just smiled. I called it. We were watching the middle of the 18th, and I said .. Chris Burke's gonna crack a 2 run blast. It was only 1 run, but it's all good. One of the most thrilling games I have ever witnessed. Goes up there with Manchester United winning the Champion's League in the Final 2 minutes, and Liverpool's comeback from 3-0 against Milan. What a damn game.
