Kobe didnt jack up shots because it was the 4th quarter instead he found Caron and Lamar wide open all day. Good game.
Whoo I'm glad the Lakers got the win. I wish they could've kept it up and blow out the Texas team after getting demolished in their last 2 games. But I knew that the Rockets would cut into their lead regardless of not being a team that comes back from large defecits with the exception of TMacs 3pt bomb fest with 35 seconds to go. But hey, they got the W and handled ball well.

T-Mac defense was pretty good in the third quarter, but then Kobe turned to his next gear, and was basically unstoppable. Like Brandon had predicted, the Rockets got killed on the double teams. Kobe, for the most part, was a willing passer and we didn't make the rotations fast enough. I think when both of these teams play with energy, it can be a pretty even matchup. It'll be interesting to see these teams battle for a playoff position. I think LA will get a 7th seed, and I hope the Rockets can at least get an 8th seed.
Why can't the Lakers play like this everynight? They attacked the basket and finally put some pressure on the opposing PG, forcing the Rockets to setup late and rush against the shotclock. Kobe was great, but I was really impressed with the play of Caron Butler. He stepped up against T-Mac and made him work on both ends of the floor, instead of being intimidated and not being a factor. The Lakers finally win a game after allowing 100 points (1-12) and 16-2 when they hold an opponent under triple digits. Rudy T should post that all over the locker room. Even though it's early in the season this was a big win for the Lakers. They have two tough road games coming up and the West has six teams fighting for the sixth spot in the playoffs. The Lakers have to take advantage of the momentum going into Minny and hopefully steal a game there. I would hate to see them become complacent after a big win the way they did when they beat the Kings and then lost to the Wizards at home.
