I suppose that could be gone now that Francis is gone. The food chain in Houston always seemed to go Francis, Mobley, Yao, Jackson. I found him erratic in the way that one week he'll light it up, and then the next he sort of cools off, then all of a sudden hes up again. Maybe that had something to do with touches, I really didnt pay attention to his attempts.
Well, Jackson never attempted too many shots. His shot attepmts always hovered around 5 to 12. He would also make a good percentage of those shots, and really established himself as a three-point threat too. I feel that he was our MVP last season. When Jackson played well, we won too.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trip:</div><div class="quote_post">How can't Ward run an offense? With him at the helm, the Knicks went to the Finals in 2000. Did you see how Lue shut Iverson down in the Finals in 2001? These two guys, IMO, are sufficient to run a team like ours.</div> Yes, lue had ONE case of good defense. Did you watch at all last year? He cant defend anyone bigger then him, and thats everybody in the league save 2 or 3 players, and Earl Boykins actually blocked Lues shot once. Ward may have been decent when the knicks went to the finals, which was like 6 or 8 years ago. You cant even mention Ward in the same breath as Kidd, Nash, Francis, Davis, Iverson, Payton, Bibby, Parker, Williams, Arenas, Wade, etc. No way are these two sufficient enough to run the rockets team.
Lue might not be the best defender on the planet, but he plays scrappy defense and tries hard everytime. I'd rather have him defending rather than someone like Glenn Robinson. Did I ever say that Ward was as good as one of those guys? They are superstars and get big shots, does Ward? Ward doesn't need to score 20 or have a good game for his team to win; those guys do. Ward is a role player, and nothing more than a role player. However, there are also good role players and bad ones, and I would say that Ward is a good one. IMO, Ward is a top 10 pure point guard in the NBA.
