If Omer could hit free throws at a 70% clip , and , if the Rockets got themselves some decent defenders at the forward spot that could contain a bit better - I reckon Omer would be a Top 3 shotblocker

Oh yeah and stop stopping and gathering yourself when you catch a pass and dragging the ball down Omer !

And with this fixed- he's a respectable 18 per

Re : his free throws its not like he's a mongo. I've seen him rub his tummy and pat his head at the same time. So I dunno.

In other words, he can chew gum and fart at the same time?

I did the math. At 70%, Omer would have made 136 instead of 107 of his FTs. Enough to raise his scoring from 10.1 to 10.6. Where the FT shooting hurts is late in games when teams can hack-a-sik (get it?).

2.3 TO per game and not getting many touches on offense. Yikes!

Unless things have changed for Asik, he gets a lot of turnovers when he grabs an offensive rebound, brings the ball down where midgets can get at it and then gets stripped. Maddening. I still love (and miss) his defensive presence though.

I miss Asik as much as most of you, however, truth is, if Nazr was better than he is, or if we had signed a big man better than Nazr, there is a good chance we wouldn't be talking about Asik at all.

I agree with the idea that Asik being gone was a good thing for Noah.

It was just as maddening to see a perfect Rose pass go through his hands and out of bounds. I'm sure they're seeing Jeremy Lin passes go out of bounds in Houston.

At the other end of the court, the Bulls had Asik, Taj, and Brewer on the 2nd unit, who were all (much) better than average defenders. Along with Deng who never gets a rest.
