PG- Charlie Ward, a good veteran and should fit well with the team SG- Tracy McGrady, Need I say anything? SF- Jim Jackson, great player and is deservin of the spot more than anyone else PF- Juwan Howard, only really good PF they have C- Yao Ming, Need I say anything?
PG-Bob Sura-he is probally more consistant then Ward is,is probally a triple double threat every nite. SG-Jim Jackson-solid vet, would be positive off the bench but they need him in the staring line up,gives them shooting, defense SF-Tracy Mcgrady-Enough said PF-Juan Howard-solid big man C-Yao Ming-self explanatory
The only question is who Van Gundy will start at point guard. I doubt Mo Taylor will start ahead of Juwan.
I would start Sura at the point, he has proven he can handle the point and he will create so many matchup problems. Whomever they choose will be playing off the ball a little bit because McGrady likes to bring the ball up from time to time.
Charlie Ward IMO wil start at the point guard spot simply due to his past experiences with Van Gundy. Once Van Gundy is able to watch Sura and becomes more comfortable with him, don't be suprised if he takes over the reigns for Ward later on in the season. However at teh start of the season its Ward's show. Either way, I think Houston has some good depth at the PG spot, I wouldn't be opposed to either of them starting.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting magnomonkey:</div><div class="quote_post">PG - Ward, Lue backing up SG - McGrady, Sura backing up SF - Jackson, Padgett/Boki backing up PF - Howard, Taylor backing up C - Yao, Deke backing up Ward is the obvious choice for starting, Lue will remain somewhere in this roster. T-mac, is going to be starting, unless he's injured, Sura, I think, was just brought in for depth and experience. Jackson will be a lock at the 3, and I see Padge backing him up because they resigned him. Boki should get some playing time, more than last year at least. Howard is another obvious choice, just because he rebounds better than Mo, and scores more than 'Spoon. Yao -- Yao is Yao. And if the Deke deal goes down, he'll be backup. Gaines and Boki will be the odd men out, Boki will still get more minutes. 'Spoon will just fit in anywhere JVG needs him to.</div> Yeah I would go with this lineup myself. I didn't even know Ward was on this team. But seeing who's playing the point. T-Mac should definately lead this team in assists as well.
