They have currently won 19 in a row and won 24 in a row earlier in the season. Out of 56 games, they have allowed 1, or fewer, runs 30 times. In three tournament games, they have outscored their opponents 27-3. Their current winning percentage would equate to going 150-12 over a 162 game schedule. The major league record for wins in a 162 game season is 116. Now they just need to win the College World Series to lay claim to the greatest season in NCAA baseball history. BNM
If they lose the College World Series, next season they'll add Kevyn Duranterson and take everyone out. That would be good for the game. Hehe. Out of context joke aside, their season and record is one of the most dominant seasons a team has had in any sport ever. It's up there with the Miami Dolphins going undefeated and any other milestone you can think of.
Legendary Oregon team......something we can all be proud of! Go Beavs! Get some swag for your kids....autographs...etc.
Wow--this story about Luke Heimlich's prior sexual molestation conviction is a massive bombshell. http://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/index.ssf/2017/06/luke_heimlich_sex_crime_surfac.html
After all the shit that Beav fans have given the ducks about their players conduct, I think this trumps them all. Nice job guys! You have a convicted child molester!
Well he was 15 at the time and he has performed his duties related to the crime. I'm cutting him some slack. Just a terrible time for this story to be published though.
Yea I'm sorry but I'm as big of a Beaver fan as there gets and I would be crucifying UofHole if this happened on their team. The timing of the release of this story is not the most important detail here. I will remain a supporter of Beaver baseball but can't support Luke Heimlich after he molested a six year old girl. I would be surprised if Casey ever knew about this.
I have a 15 year old son and this is straight messed up. 15 year olds know what the hell they are doing.
Well he wasn't a catcher....this we know.....I joke about young teenaged nerds but if there's a legal issue, this kid has to live with his consequences...he's a young adult now and I'm sure it's hard to go through life with that baggage in his past...I hate to see these stories during the playoffs....it was a story when he was 15. I'm always sorry to hear a toddler had to experience that at such a young age...
Same. There's no way I am going to defend this guy. Child molestation is the most incomprehensible acts in the world. Yes, he was a juvenile, but this is a lot bigger of a deal than stealing laptops. Luckily the beavs have a lot of stars I can throw my support behind instead of this guy.
I don't know the kid nor do most folks around here but he could have been successful through rehab or anything....I'm not tagging him as a monster...if he were 40 when he did it I would ..15 year old kids make some stupid decisions and in this case, a really stupid one.
I have to wonder if he was molested himself as a kid (not that it excuses anything). The stereotype is unfortunate, but as the 7th of 8 kids in a homeschool family, it's not an unreasonable question.
