It'll still be that way this year, unfortunately

Okay a month ago. I'll agree two months ago probably was a stretch. We all saw this coming. As I recall you even called it for this very reason if they didn't make big moves at the deadline. They need hitting and that has been the situation for a while.

I'm would argue it should have been done (along with a new GM, Baseball operations staff, and ownership) after they missed the playoffs last season.

Yeah we agree on all that.

I didn't want arozarena but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it's going like I thought it would.

Sucks man. I'm about to have apathy for the two sports teams I follow lol

naah, Wilson & Martinez are going to bring some smiles back to the dugout. Servais and his crappy hitting coach took the game too gosh darn serious.

MLB baseball an emotionally charged sport. If the head coach locks up and becomes a robot like Scott Servais, then the players won't be comfortable sharing their feelings. Players can't relax, they can't be themselves.

Dan & Edgar will have plenty of emotion to share with the team. They battled during a Golden Era of Mariners baseball. Wild stories of heated competition will help this team when the going gets tough.

34 games left, a playoff run isn't impossible. Even if the M's miss the postseason this year, Wilson is here for good, he's not the interim coach.

good stuff in Dan's interview. One of the first things he said was "this is going to be fun". He gave props to Scott Servais. The idea to Coach the Mariners for real has been floating around for awhile.

Dan said he's already worked with many of the players and coaches. He's excited but also serious about winning. Wilson believes Edgar Martinez will be a terrific swing coach.

Rivas clutch knock in 10th. Nice comeback win on new coach night. Bearhugs in the dugout.

Andre Drummond can occasionally hit both free throws. You don't want to bet the over, but the under gets a standing ovation.

a win would have snuck Seattle to 2.5 games back from Astros.

oh well, just wasn't in the cards
