Did you expect them to make the divisional series before this season started even though they haven't even made the playoffs in 21 years? If so then delusional, if not then everything from here on out is the icing on the cake. Now you can have higher expectations next year, sure. But this? Haha.
I don't think making the divisional round at the start of the season was delusional at all, I expected them to be better than last season when they made a run at the wild card. I understand the excitement, but I also think the new WCs have diluted what it means to make the playoffs, now they have a chance to actually get in the big boy 7 game series and I'm excited to watch this weekend!
OT: The guy that caught Aaron Judge's home run ball last night, his wife Bri used to work for NBCSW here locally. I think she graduated from U of O.
I'm taking Friday afternoon off to watch the game. Castillo is going to throw a gem, I already know it!
I would have much rather faced the Indians, but it is what it is. Just happy to make it at this point I love having three day weekends, Friday is gonna be lit
The dude that caught it already makes hundreds of thousands a year if not millions. Sucks that he got the ball.
Yeaaaah. Friday is gonna be a weird day for me mentally and I'm just apologizing now for whatever happens. But that game 1 is so freaking important. We HAVE to win it in, in my eyes. If Castillo can get that fastball up above the letters and play his other pitches down and away to righties (down and in to lefties, although he has to be pinpoint so thats a bit worrisome) then we have a good chance. Manoah IIRC we actually have some success off of him. Toronto crowds bring it though. God it's gonna be so lit. I may belly up to a bar and day drink lol.
I hope that 2 seam fastball he's been throwing is on point. Some of this! *edit* I think this is actually his slide piece, but still, that's nasty.
Yeah that's the pitch that HAS to work. And he has to bury it like that, get it into the hands. I'm nervous as fuck and it's still 44 hours away fml
Mariners-Blue Jays position-by-position breakdown They say Jays in three, but I think they discount our pitching. We have to get that first game!
