So for #3 I was correct lol.

#1 doesn't make sense just logically. I get if you wanna call the first half of the outfield the infield and say that with no extraordinary effort... Okay I can understand that, but then why isn't a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded called an infield fly if it's routine to the track? They may be correct by their definition, but it doesn't make it right by logic standards because that never has been called though it sounds like it should.

#2 is true. The basis of it is subjective, which is what I was answering. But the literal definition is what it goes by, just no one says it lol

Mitch to the Giants on a 3 yr deal

I’m happy with Teoscar but him and wong aren’t gonna be enough to help the dreadful offense

Haniger can never stay healthy. Not a huge loss

I imagine its an incentive laden deal.

He could produce when healthy. He just never was. Dunno what the Mariners are doing this off-season but whatever it is, it doesn't seem nearly enough.

Hopefully we get that guy from Japan. We need a really good contact hitter.

Feeling like Teoscar is the big splash of the Mariners off season, pretty disappointing if that's the case.

    nice, that’ll be awesome!

I’m super excited for this season! The thing I’m looking forward to the most is watching Kirby continue to develop and dominate.

Hoping the pitching staff can remain near the top, for sure. The new additions better bring some offense!

But to be fair, there’s a lot of things to look forward to this season! The rotation is pretty nasty, and we kept Flexen for long pen and insurance for any injury. I know I just said I’m looking most forward to Kirby but Castillo starts are also must watch. Logan ain’t no slouch either. Again super excited for the rotation.

the Bullpen also has some nasty arms. Brash and Munoz are both fun as hell to watch. Sewald and Diego are both super solid. I wish we had one more dominant arm though tbh

The lineup should be better this year. Hopefully teoscar continues to hit and doesn’t have a mariners jinx lol. Julio might take that next step up to MVP level, if he does we will contend for a title. Cal should continue to develop too. We really have a great generation of players with Julio, Kirby, Logan and Cal. Kelenic has had a great spring and I’m not getting my hopes up, but if he could figure it out at the plate it would be a huge boost. Hopefully Geno hits close to the same amount of home runs as last year.

Our defense should be great too. Geno, JP (love him, but we do need an upgrade soon), Wong, and France are all pretty damn good with the glove. Defense in the outfield should be pretty good too.

We could take a big step up this year if everything goes right. Big if though, I hate to get my hopes up.

I don’t doubt that our pitching staff will remain near the top. A lot of nasty and young arms. Our developmental staff produces some bullpen guys out of nowhere as well too. Just no Robbie ray out of the bullpen please

If Julio continues to grow and I can't see why not, with good OBP guys around him and teo/kel getting rbis, with cals emergence (I mean dude was hitting under .100 for a solid month, gets sent down and comes back and rakes. It's astounding)... Our hitting MAY just be enough. We sure as hell have the pitching (except I hate Robbie ray. Makes me so nervous).

But a lineup of something to the tune of:

    Julio
    France
    Kel
    Teo
    Cal
    Eug
    Wong

As our top 7 is pretty damn good. Above average, not a top 5 by any means. But with that and our pitching, that's really damn exciting.

Id probably put eug at 5 and cal 6 but really it doesn't matter. Or hell, eug 4th and teo 5th I just never liked high strikeout guys hitting clean up even if that's the norm lol

Furthermore, kel is raking and I hope to God it translates because that changes the entire game. If we have a kel/eug/teo with Julio and France before them and we get THIS kel... My baseball pants are tight.

But honestly I think starting Kel at 7 is best for him to begin the season.

So glad that Gilbert is pitching on Saturday and not Ray. Haven't seen him in a game yet.
